WebHelp Mobile
How do I replace the "madcap" text at the top and the MadCap logo at the bottom of the WebHelp Mobile target output with my company's name and logo? Delivering Help with the MadCap branding is not acceptable to my company. I did just submit a defect to technical support about this issue.

Re: does anyone know what's in store in Flare 6
I'd like Flare 6 to include fixes for launching WebHelp from Apache web servers in IE7, IE8, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.

WebHelp not rendering properly from an Apache web server
WebHelp generated from Flare 5.0.1 is not rendering properly from an Apache web server. I do NOT have MOTW enabled. What do I need to enable/disable in my WebHelp target spec to render correctly in Firefox and Chrome? Am I experiencing the "utf-8" instead of "UTF-8" problem or is there more? I've ...

Re: Browsers and Operating Systems Supported by WebHelp
I do have the "Use lowercase filenames" option selected in the WebHelp target. I'm using the same source files and doing a build from Flare 4.2 and then from Flare 5.0. Flare 4.2 works. Flare 5.0 does not.

Re: Browsers and Operating Systems Supported by WebHelp
Flare 5 might work with Firefox on Linux from a client machine, but it does not work when the WebHelp is delivered on a Linux server. Flare 4.2 DOES work. Flare 5 seems to inconsistently name and call files and folders, particulary the skin folder in the output Data directory, in the Navigation.htm ...

Re: Background image in page layout doesn't appear
I'm trying to overlay topic text onto a page layout background image in my flare to word output. Has anyone figured out how to do this? I've submitted a defect but no word back yet.

Re: Resetting page numbers
Use the page layouts to position the page number where you want it in the header or footer.
Double-click the topic where you want to set a different page number format.
In the Properties dialog box, click Printed Output.
Click Start a new section or Start a new chapter document.

Re: images and page layout
I'm having a similar issue trying to get a background image from a page layout to appear on the title page in my Word output. The topic text appears, but no background image. I've submitted a defect to MadCap.

Re: Single Master Project vs. Parent/Child Projects
Another option might be a single project that contains all topics. Create a separate TOC for each child and link the child TOCs into a parent TOC if necessary. This way you can build the child outputs individually or use the parent TOC to bulld all at once. You can also share topics, stylesheets ...

Re: Word output improvements
I have a requirement to deliver Word versions of 11 Quick Reference Guides to an internal team, PDF versions of the same documents for posting on our Support site, and a WebHelp system with the product. I'm using Flare as my source. I've got the WebHelp system set up and the Flare to Word process ...

Re: Subversion source control question
I tried to get the Subversion plugin from pushok, but it was way too confusing to get it going. I tried to work directly from subversion, but kept hitting issues. For now, I'm just copying and pasting my source files into subversion. I can publish directly to subversion and then commit in subversion ...

Can someone please tell me where to get the Perforce plugin for MadCap Flare? I'm using Perforce P4Win 2007.3 and Flare 3.1.
