Re: Index not jumping to place in page where Index keyword is.

Thanks Pete,

Do you mean I should modify the .hhk file externally and link to bookmarks in the topics?

Re: Index not jumping to place in page where Index keyword is.

Thanks for spending time helping me out.
I have submitted a bug report although I have not ruled out that there is maybe something I have missed out.
Time will tell...

Re: Index not jumping to place in page where Index keyword is.

I have created keywords all the down a long topic. When I click on any of the keywords in the published HTML Help, the topic is opened up at the top of the page. The page does not jump down to the relevant keyword within the topic.
There is also no highlighted text in the topic.

Ooops - I don't ...

Index not jumping to place in page where Index keyword is.

Hi all,

I have created an index by placing index keywords before text in a topic by clicking Ctrl-U. The Index keywords are then shown in a green box in front of the text.
When I publish my HTML output, any words I select from the Index do not jump to the places in the text where the Index keyword ...

Printing manuals (book) and outputting pdfs

Hi,

Has anyone created a custom-sized paperback manual (book) with Flare? I am using Flare to create my application help and I have not yet created any printed output with the MadCap Suite. In the past I used RoboHelp to produce WebHelp and Adobe InDesign to create a paperback custom-sized manual ...

Migrating from RoboHelp

Hi,

I am about to migrate a project created in RoboHelp over to Flare. I am not going to import the RoboHelp project file because the structure is so different from the Flare project structure (which I like).
So what do I do? Do I recreate all the content I have in Flare or is there another way of ...

Re: Way to tell which master pages have been applied to topics

Ok, thanks for that Kevin.

I noticed in my published html output that one of my topics did not have the breadcrumbs that were applied to the master page - and I worked it out - this topic had not been added to the TOC.
To display this topic in the primary target viewer I was doing a search for the ...

Way to tell which master pages have been applied to topics

Hi all,

How can I tell what master page (if any) is applied to a topic. I had to publish my output to see whether I had the master page applied to the topic. I thought it might be in the topic properties but no sign.
Does anyone know what to do?

Thanks

Yes that worked - I restored the layout to default factory settings.

Can't find the Styles window

I want to use the Styles window. I can see the styles field in the text formatting toolbar (there is very little listed - unlike the actual stylesheet itself). However when I hit F12 or V iew/Style window nothing happens. Where is it? I don't know what to look for because I don't know what the Style ...

Adding an image to all topics and background image to print

Hi,

I also want to have a transparent background image (under topic text) on printed output ...

Re: Which help output should I use?

After discussion with the developer we decided that HTML Help would be our best option. We are trying to understand, however, how calling CSH from the compiled (.CHM) HTMLHelp file will work. Can anyone describe how this works?

Thanks.
