WebHelp CSH is not working
Hello, I have converted a WebHelp project from RoboHelp x5 to Flare v6, applied a new stylesheet, and compiled the project. A build was made and the Help was tested but none of the CSH links are working. Pressing Help on a specific dialog box should open the topic for the dialog, typical CSH but ins...

Re: Indent a table in a topic
I ran into this problem today using Flare v6.1. I am using a table style but I didn't want to change it in every topic. My topic was a special case where I needed to indent the tables under bullet style 1 paragraphs. To do this, I made a copy of my table style (BlueTable) then renamed the copy "...

Re: CSS Error at compilation
Oh, interesting...I was given this project and it looks like there are two stylesheets. One has the paragraph styles and such and is the sheet applied to each topic. The other is smaller and just has a few div styles in it that are used to create other items in the topics. For example, we have a &qu...

CSS Error at compilation
Hello, I am getting the following error on the Errors page of the Build Progress dialog box when I compile my project: "CSS: Circular CSS Stylesheet file:///<path to the stylesheet in the Stylesheets folder in my project>" The error does not seem to effect my compiled project, but I would ...

Available Fonts
Hi, I am working with a stylesheet in which I want to change the font for the body styles from Arial to Verdana; however, Verdana is not on the list when I try to change it. It is an installed font on my computer and it is available in another stylesheet. I tried creating a new style instead of modi...

Re: Stylesheet Backwards Compatibility
Hi Lisa, The styles look different in both the authoring environment and the generated output. For example, I have a body style that uses 9pt Verdana and it appears bigger in RoboHelp than in Flare (both authoring and output environments). I think you are right in that I can make it work though...in...

Stylesheet Backwards Compatibility
Hi, Soon, I will be starting a new project where I will need to reformat some HTML Help files with a new stylesheet. The files are managed through RoboHelp x5. I have a new stylesheet created with Flare that I want to apply to the project. I tested it out in RH x5 and although the styles remained th...

Running a chm on a 64-bit OS
Hi, The product I write Help files for is going to support 64-bit operating systems running on the server in the next release. Will the chm files open/function correctly on these operating systems? Is there anything special I need to do/consider on the development side to maintain functionality? Tha...

Re: Fixing Compilation Errors
I only need one target for now. There are about 15 or so of those errors left...as long as they are just warning me that the topics are excluded I am fine with leaving them in there.
Thanks so much to all for the help!

Re: Fixing Compilation Errors
I have managed to clear up all of the errors except the "Generating alias file: Topic excluded from output"... errors. Lisa, you are right...the files generating the errors are conditioned out of the Help file I am generating. They do not belong in there but I will need them at a later tim...

Fixing Compilation Errors
Hi, After compiling my HTML project, Flare is listing several "Missing linked file.." error messages. I have been able to fix most of these opening the topics, finding the reported link, then updating the link path. However, there are a few errors left that are reporting a missing snippet ...

Re: Importing RoboHelp project with multiple TOC & Index files
Actually, I think the project was created using RoboHelp 5.x. I noticed that the secondary file for each is the same name only with _backup after it. I'm wondering if they just renamed before compiling to make it work. I am not too worried about it...recreating the secondary TOC is not major but I'd...

Importing RoboHelp project with multiple TOC & Index files
Hello, I imported a RoboHelp project that includes two Table of Contents and Index files. Flare only imported one TOC and one Index file, ignoring the secondary files. I tried deleting the two files that successfully imported in the RoboHelp project then reimported the RoboHelp project to try and fo...
