Digging up an old one here.
I'm having the exact same issue and am stuck as I can't publish a project.
Assistance would be most appreciated please.
Edit...Persistence paid off. Found the issue.

Version Control project to project
Howdy, I tried to search on this topic but all the search terms were to common. We are about to start work on a version 1.1 of a product since 1.0 has been released. Management wants to lock down 1.0 and have all the help docs archived. v 1.1 is not going to add a lot and to me it would make sense j...

Capture 4 not using proper profile
I have multiple profiles set in Capture and moving between projects and resetting the profile to refect the current project does not stick. Capture shows the proper profile name and I am selecting the proper item when grabbing a screen shot in Flare however it usually reverts back to the last profil...

WebHelp and Search Engine Optimization
Being our Help is publicly available and an integral part of our site we are looking at methods to make WebHelp more crawl-able. Since all the content of help is buried under javascript and can't be directly crawled by the search engines we are looking for suggestions on how get past this.
Thanks

Re: WebHelp Compiler Error: "Internal Error: Out of Memory"
Funny, I had this same issue yesterday in 4.2 after adding a .ico item to the skin. The most annoying part of the error was the day before I added more memory to the PC taking it from 2gb to 3.2gb, the limit XP 32 bit address.
Pulling the .ico file and saving as a .png solved the issue for me.

Re: Subversion source control question
Subversion has been a royal PITA. We are a very small shop of 3 users, one Windows, one Mac and one Linux and we use a lot of open source products. SVN 1.5.x is the package of choice and Flare does not play nicely with it. Being the only one that uses Flare what I've resorted to is saving locally an...

Re: Using Prior Project as Prototype
What I've done is created a project with out actual text but with all the required files such as the style, master, conditions etc that other projects for the same client require. There was either a thread on that in here or it was in the MadCap documentation on how to do this. All skin, css etc cha...

Capturing a Window With Auto-Scroll?
I have a screen in an application I am trying to capture that quite long. I've tried the Auto-Scroll option but it only captures what is seen on the screen. I understood this option to capture an entire region including the parts not seen on the screen unless scrolled down or up to. Without going ou...

Re: Appearance Setting in Profile is not Being Applied
Oh how embarrassing.... Submitted a trouble ticket and as usual received an incredibly fast response from MadCap. When answering their question I realized where I had put a foot wrong. When using Capture through Flare I had selected Format:JPEG and failed to select the named profile. When the proper...

Yes, the profile is selected when I create the capture. All other specified items in the profile are working. Only the border function is choking.

Read the relevant parts and makes perfect sense.
Now if it was possible to link them all and changes made in any of them propagated across all linked projects that would be great. Sounds like a feature request!

Appearance Setting in Profile is not Being Applied
Created a profile and added a border on the Appearance tab. When I view the profile the settings are as specified however when an image is captured a border is not added. I need to go into the images properties and manually add the border. Did I miss something?

Propigating Style Sheet Changes across Multiple Projects
I'm working on creating the doc sets for 4 different products each having it's own Flare project. As I create more of the docs I'm finding I need to create some new styles. For example I created a specific table style that will be used for the same type of table in all the projects. Ideally I'd like...

Re: Change Background Color of Single Page in Topic
Issue resolved. Madcap again provides a level of support all software companies could learn from.
The fix or workaround for this issue:
Create a new html class with desired background color and apply to the desired topic.

Re: Change Background Color of Single Page in Topic
1. No, I had never cleared the output folder. This was a new trick to me. That said, no change. I even cleared my browser cache, cookies and temp files. However, cleaning the output is going into regular rotation as part of the build process now, it may take a few minutes longer but I'm hoping it wi...

Re: Change Background Color of Single Page in Topic
style="background-color:#7f7f7f;" has been removed. Saved, rebuilt and viewed. No change. Reset the body style class back to default, saved. The background color in the XML editor area went back to white. For yucks rebuilt and viewed. Still white as always. That would be a good thing. Reap...

Re: Change Background Color of Single Page in Topic
Did you double-check that the Stylesheet Editor was set to the default medium and not the print medium when you made the change to the body class? Just verified, yes the Stylesheet Editor is set to Medium: (default) along with the page I am working on and I made sure the Targets>Advanced Stylesheet...
