I am converting a FM book to a WebHelp target. The content contains a number of tables that are automatically converted to a table.default style by Flare.
I would like all my tables in WebHelp to be identically styled with black gridlines and a black lined outer border. Although I am able to ...

Re: fuzzy and shrunken graphics after conversion
Yes, I am using a standalone Distiller 7.0 application. I don't really have an opinion either way, Distiller just pops up automatically during conversion. Adobe PDF printer might be causing the grey boxes so that is why I suggested using Distiller instead. Whatever works for you...

Re: fuzzy and shrunken graphics after conversion
The Distiller application definitely opens during the Flare FM conversion. I would suggest somehow disabling Adobe PDF Printer because it seems to overriding Distiller. I don't use Adobe PDF Printer at all.
The gray box issue may be a function of Distiller not working properly. I certainly wouldn't ...

Re: fuzzy and shrunken graphics after conversion
Seems to me that your Adobe PDF Printer application is overriding Distiller. Distiller should be running during the Flare conversion.

Re: fuzzy and shrunken graphics after conversion
Flare opens Distiller during the Frame conversion. You can definitely see it working. Like I said earlier, you must check the "Generate Images for Anchored Frames" option checked in the Frame conversion mapping/menus for Distiller to be active.
Alternatively, perhaps you don't have Distiller ...

Re: fuzzy and shrunken graphics after conversion
To answer Dave's questions:
1) When I say "pump the graphics through Distiller", I mean that if you check the "Generate Images for Anchored Frames" option in the Flare import Frame doc options/mapping menus; Distiller will be opened automatically by Flare and convert the .tif graphics to .jpegs ...

Re: fuzzy and shrunken graphics after conversion
I tried resizing one of my other screenshots to <600 pixels but I lose too much resolution for it to be worthwhile.
Even if I convert a .tif graphic (most of them are screenshots) that is less than 600 pixels wide Distiller shrinks it and renders the resulting .jpg output fuzzy. I think the problem ...

fuzzy and shrunken graphics after conversion
I am converting FrameMaker documents to a WebHelp target. My graphics (mostly .tif) end up fuzzy and shrunken after being converted to .pdf using Distiller. They are illegible.

Re: Fuzzy Bold Text
Thanks for the tips. Problem fixed.
It turned out that one of the character formats was incorrectly mapped during conversion. Furthermore, the client's semibold style was indeed too fancy for Flare and thus blurry.

Fuzzy Bold Text
I am converting FrameMaker documents to a WebHelp output. For some unknown reason, all the bolded text appears fuzzy and difficult to read both in IE7 and Firefox.
It is almost as if two styles are being applied to one piece of text rendering the output slightly out of focus although I don't see ...

Adding TOC now results in broken bookmark links.
I am creating a WebHelp target. After converting Frame files, I add a previously created customized TOC instead of using the default generated TOC and get a slew of broken bookmark links. The topic links from this new TOC work fine, it is just the bookmark links that are the problem.
For example, a ...
