Re: Flare 8 Niggles

Flare 8 is opening minimised for me. It's not a great problem, because I only need to click on it but it is a niggle as previous versions of Flare didn't do this. I can't find a setting anywhere that tells it to open minimised. The desktop shortcut setting is to run in 'Normal Window'. Before I log ...

Re: Importing older Robohelp files with hpj extension

Thank you Nita. You have helped no end. I'm a bit embarrassed now. I had forgotten about RoboHelp HTML (in my defence I haven't used RoboHelp in almost three years). Converting the HDK source Help file to RoboHelp HTML created a useable source which could be converted to Flare without further work b...

Re: Importing older Robohelp files with hpj extension

There might be a very simple solution to the problem: (I know because that's how we did it) You use RH to produce a WebHelp . There should be a .hhp file in the output folder - that one you can import into Flare: html_help_project.png Thank you for that. However when I create webhelp from RoboHelp ...

OK thanks. Will do.

Re: Importing older Robohelp files with hpj extension

Surprisingly it was X5 (I found out when I had a chance to go into the program). Our initial efforts to do a CHM build were not effective as we couldn't find any temporary html files or .hhp files. Finally, we ended up calling support and after having us download some plugin and consulting with ano...

Re: Is there a quick way to delete an ignored words list?

If you want to find/delete them, use a find and replace; find in whole project , tick use Wildcards and Find in source code , and search for MadCap:ignoredWords="*" Thanks Dave. That made the job so much quicker. Out of 2700 topics in one Help project (out of 21 projects in the full set),...

Is there a quick way to delete an ignored words list?

Is there a quick way to find out which topics in a project include the MadCap:ignoredWords setting or delete the ignore words list for an entire project? I'm creating WebHelp and, for reasons I don't understand, any topics which have a MadCap:ignoredWords list are not being included in the WebHelp o...

Thank you for that. I knew there must be a way to do it.

Image Imported from RoboHelp

Hi all, I may be missing something obvious but I'm stuck. I have a set of projects imported from RoboHelp into Flare. Each Help topic has an image of a line separating the heading/breadcrumbs from the rest of the topic. The line is an image file and in Robohelp the image was set to be 100% wide so t...

Re: From Sharon, Upcoming Traning clases

I'm interested in the Advanced Publishing Techniques one, but I'm not available that week.

Is there any chance that these will be recorded and made available to view later?

Thanks
