Re: Sharing content between multiple projects?
Thanks for the reply. I agree a combined project is probably the best solution.

Best practices for managing hyperlinks in shared topics?
Hello,
We have two products, each with its own Flare Help source project (I’ll call them A and B). Recently, a decision was made to port functionality from Product A to Product B. As a result, the Help outputs for Product A and Product B will contain 100+ files worth of identical content for that ...

Sharing content between multiple projects?
Hello,
I’m seeking suggestions for a content organization scenario where I believe single-sourcing would help.

Display URL for the current topic in HTML5 output?
Hi,
We install HTML5 Help locally with our software. A subset of our user base does not have a web browser installed on their dev machine. For these users, we provide a very simple frame in which the local Help is displayed. We're looking for a way to display the URL of the current topic somewhere ...

Issues with CSH Calls for HTML5 Output
Hello,
We are replacing the local CHM Help previously installed with our software with local HTML5 Help. As part of this change, we need to update all of our CSH calls throughout the program to point to the HTML5 output (the calls were initially hard-coded, so they currently don't use Flare IDs). I ...

It turns out this issue is explained in the Flare Help (shame on me - I should have checked there first).

There is a Searchable check box down near the bottom of the tab.

Question about Concept Links
Hello,
I use Concepts to create See Also links in our Help topics. How do I hide the link to the current topic (topic being viewed) from the See Also list in the output?
Thanks.

Re: Multiple versions of the same topic in CHM output
It's been so long I don't remember exactly how this was resolved, though I seem to recall that it had something to do with the Exclude content not linked directly or indirectly from the target check box in the Advanced tab of the Target Editor. Try checking that option, then re-build the output.

Thanks for all the replies. We use HTML5 for the Help that is available from our Website, and I like the modern look. I am interested in moving to that format for our desktop applications as well. Re: PDF doesn't display in CHM output
Thanks for the reply. This is my first attempt to include PDFs in a HTML TOC. My expectation is the user will be able to open the linked PDF (inside the CHM window, or, preferably, outside of it). I suppose I should have prefaced my post by asking if this is even possible. Is it?

Just guessing, perhaps you have added an image file, say to the project with a name that just tips the limit now when processing.
Thanks for the reply. However, in this case, no new files were added since the project was last built successfully. I've only been updating text content. A month ago ...

Re: Multiple versions of the same topic in CHM output
Thanks for the reply. However, I'm not sure these issues are related. I'm seeing different versions of the same topic in the output - pre-revision and post-revision. The pre-revision topic versions should not be showing up.
