Multiple Translators - Sharing TermBase and TM
Hello Lingo experts, I'd like to know if any of you has experienced sharing the TermBase or the Translation Memory in a translation team. If yes, how does it happen? In trhe company where I work we are thinking of buying Lingo, and there are more than one translator per language pair. So, they would...

Re: Lingo and RoboHelp
Hello Ramon, It's possible to translate RoboHelp files in Flare, but not as a project. So once I've translated all the files I have to reorganize the translated files in my second language project. I know working with Flare and Lingo is much better. But the situation I'm into is that I have to "...

Lingo and RoboHelp
Hello, I work in a company where many documentation teams already use RoboHelp for documentation. In the team I work, we still use a combo of FrontPage + FAR. We are now testing other tools, and also analysing the documentation <-> translation workflow, as we have international versions of the produ...

Re: Problems when Importing (non-Flare) project
I removed it from some of the original files, and they were imported with no problems. Now I have to ask somebody what is this and why it is in so many files, and if there's any effect from removing it... So, removing this tag had no effects. With the help of a programmer, this tag was deleted from...

Re: Problems when Importing (non-Flare) project
If push comes to shove you could always try contacting customer support. As you are a potential customer who won't buy the product unless you can get it to import, you might find you get some help there too. If you are allowed to by your company, you could suggest that you send them the test projec...

Tranforming an XLS file into TBX
Hello everybody, I'm a Tech Writer, currently analysing the possibility of using Flare and Lingo for the Documentation and Translation Teams here where I work. There are two big glossaries used by the Translation Team: one is Portuguese-English and the other is Portuguese-Spanish. They are in the XL...

Re: Problems when Importing (non-Flare) project
I see your points. But still, what I'm dealing with are 10 original projects, that together give me thousands of topics. Although I know that the for the new projects lots of manual reorganizing is necessary, I think that if I had to add and copy topic by topic it would take me years, and I need res...

Re: Problems when Importing (non-Flare) project
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for you help.
When you say you copy and paste contents, do you do it the way I said on my question or do you create a new topic and copy and paste the content?
Thanks for you help.

Yes, they are topics with content. One of the topics that isn't displaying the content is "CURSOREQ". In Flare, the code is like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <html xmlns:MadCap="http://www.madcapsoftware.com/Schemas/MadCap.xsd"> <head><title></...

Problems when Importing (non-Flare) project
Hello, I'm using a trial version of Flare 6.1. I'm trying to import an HHP project, but after the files are imported, I can't see the topic content, just a <body></body>. Why is this happening? I must be missing something. I also tried to copy and paste some topics directly in the Project's Content ...

I'm also happy I've found this information, because I've totally forgotten about it and many times using Alalyzer takes too much time just to find out about the unused images.

Re: Happy or unhappy with Lingo?
I have no idea of how many people use Lingo, but I guess one of the reasons the forum doesn't have many activity is because using Lingo is very simple and once you learn what you need there isn't much to ask (just guessing...) My experience with Lingo: The help project I work on is written in Portug...

Why isn't using Lingo an alternative? It allows a very simplified workflow and you don't have to worry about loosing content or formatting.

I'm working in a Project where I have several tables with numerical references that I must replace with text. One of these numbers I need to replace is 0, where I need the word "Texto". However, I have many other numbers where 0 appears, such as 20, 50, 120, and and don't want to replace t...

In Word, this is how they look in the TOC: Word.png In the PDF gerated from Flare, however, the number isn't in the 2nd line of the title, but in the first: Flare.png I'd like it to be like in Word (Actuall...

Re: Reduced Images
Hi Pamela, thanks for your help. Well, I figured out what was causing the problem: in Capture, the "Flare Print Format" property was set as 300 DPI, which was causing the image to be smaller in the print format. I set it as 96 and now it's all right. It is so silly, but I really couldn't f...
