Browse Sequences
Am I correct in assuming that browse sequences are not supported in any of the Top Nav skins: HTML5 - Top Navigation and the HTML5 Component skins? It's either that or I'm doing something wrong but I've followed the steps provided in Flare help. Thanks.

Re: Sending/Packaging New Files to Translator
Here's a reply I received from MadCap via Feedback Server:
"The translator must save the ZIP file to their computer and then select Merge Completed Bundle in the local toolbar of the File List. The files in the zipped project appear in the File List. They can select File>Update Project to scan the ...

Sending/Packaging New Files to Translator
Here is the scenario that I need assistance with. The tech writer (me) is using Lingo 5 (I also have Lingo 6, but the translator only has Lingo 5). The help content was translated into Chinese earlier this year (I simply gave the translator my Lingo project). I now have several net new files that ...

Customer Providing Content - Best Practices
Many of us have faced this issue at some point: the customer wishes to provide their own help content (for whatever reason) and we just upload the content so that it is accessible from within our applications. In the situation I'm facing, I have no problem whatsoever with the customer providing ...

Error When Publishing Movie: mimic.log.zip
All,
I'm using Mimic 5, and publishing several movies to a location different from the usual My Mimic Projects folder. When publishing a movie to that location, I am getting this error: "Access to the path 'C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Temp\Mimic.log.zip' is denied". What is ...

Should .props Files Be Added to SVN?
All, should the .props files that accompany Capture screenshots be added to the SVN repository? What are the repercussions if they are not added to SVN? If I had my way I wouldn't add image files to the repository anyway but I am required to do so. Thoughts?

Unable to Edit Image or Objects/Text on Image
I don't know if this is standard Capture behaviour but I cannot figure out why some images I can edit and others I cannot. I'm using Capture 5.
The image in question has a props file. Basically, it's a background rectangle onto which I put some text (a title, a date, a copyright symbol - that kind ...

Language Skins
I'm using Lingo 4 and Flare 7. I have already had help translated into another language (Polish) but I missed the Webhelp UI elements, i.e., the accordion labels, the See Also and Related Topics, etc. I understand that I can create a user-defined Language Skin in Flare. But how do I get that skin to ...

Re: Popup Window
I have seen the behaviour noted by by gbyrnes on Thu May 14, 2009 10:52 am.
I only just discovered this: popup_in_a_popup.gif
Interestingly, the popup in a popup works perfectly in Firefox (3.5.3) but not in IE7 (7.0.5730.13). I'm building WebHelp using Flare 4.2.1. Should I report this as a bug ...

WebHelp Output Different Depending on How Help is Built
I have found that when I build my WebHelp target from within Flare (as opposed to via MadBuild.exe), at least one style changes color arbitrarily. Let me explain:
My stylesheet dictates that a glossary term is colored 'olive'. When WebHelp is built from within Flare, the glossary term appears as ...

Global Project Linking - Output to Word
I have put in a lot of effort to set up and test a project using the "Merging Flare Projects Using Targets" method. I output to WebHelp. I am the sole tech writer so this method works great for me (it's a little slow though) and I'm happy with the results.
However, now I'm on to the printed output ...
