I'm not using images for bullets, I'm using the basic disc and they appear on the text baseline. How do I get them to align with the center of the text?
Thanks.

Indenting with local tabs
It's great that Flare 11 supports indenting using tabs. This is especially useful for code examples where indents are important to show hierarchy. Question: How do I change the length for the indent? The default that Flare inserts is 0.5in (text-indent: 0.5in;). That is too wide for our purposes ...

autonumbering in web help
Hi. I'm converting a project that was originally designed for PDF output to web help. In the PDF style sheet, the tables are incremented using the chapter number and table number (CT:Table {chapnum}.{n+}). Some topics have more than one table, so I want them to increment within the topic, so I set ...

xrefs in HTML5 vs web help
Hi. I set up all of my linked styles (xrefs and hyperlinks) to display an underline during hover. This works great in web help, but in HTML5 help this appears only for hyperlinks, not xrefs. Can anyone out there provide an explanation for this?
Thanks much.

Re: Appendix letters not showing up in cross-reference
Thanks very much. Appreciate the help.
Actually, chapnum doesn't work. It was coming up as chapter 1 for chapter 5.
Thanks again.

Appendix letters not showing up in cross-reference
My chapter and appendix titles use the same H1 style which includes a {chapnum} and I set the output numbering/lettering in the TOC properties. When I generate a PDF the title lettering (Appendix A, etc.) and table numbering (Table A-1, etc.) all come out just fine.
The issue is with cross-refs. I ...

HTML5 and right table margins
Hi. Since HTML5 doesn't support the width attribute, does anyone know of any way to move the right margin of a table off of the edge of the browser window (short of manually setting Autofit to Window to a percentage)?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Single-sourcing with table CSSs
Hi. I used table style sheets to create the different table styles in a project for PDF output. Now I want to use the same table style sheets for HTML5 output. (The difference between the two outputs is one of font style and size.) Since there is no way in the TableStyle Editor to differentiate ...

Multiple logos?
Hi. I have an HTML5 skin in which I want to change the logo (Styles > Logo > Background) depending on the product. I tried conditionalizing the logo in Capture, but the skin doesn't recognize the conditionalization. Does anyone know of a way to do this (short of creating multiple skins)?
Thanks!
Thanks!

How to implement definition lists?
Hi. I want to use dl, dt, and dd elements to create definition lists. I assumed, since this was a list style, that there would be a command somehwere in the Flare menus to insert a dl, which would automatically contain empty dt and dd elements, much like when you create a bulleted list that ...

Using custom <td> with mcTableStyle
Hi.
I have some tables in which I want to indent certain content in the table cells. I know I can do this using paragraph styles, but I would prefer not to. There will be up to a dozen indent levels and I don't want to add that many paragraph classes to the style sheet. I also don't want to create ...

Re: Big empty
That definitely clears it up. Thanks very much! I couldn't find this in the help anywhere. As you've likely surmised, we don't use much local formatting; everything is in the css. Also, when you work with the markers on, you don't really need that info so much. I just wish that when I adjust the ...

Big empty
Can someone tell me what the big block of gray space on the Styles window is for? I'm talking about the big empty space between the Edit Style and Create Style buttons and the Available Styles list. To see more of my styles, I continually have to shrink this apparently useless area. Does it have a ...

See Also in Web help and PDF outputs
We are updating our templates (which have been for PDF outputs only) to include Web help targets. I want to use See Also links in both. For our PDFs, we've used a "See Also" head and added cross-refs under it. It's a completely different process for Web help; we can use Concept links there. Is there ...

Re: Glossry Terms in PDF Output
I had the same problem. This is not supported in PDFs. I had to remove the glossary links in all of my content. Now I am also producing Web help from the same content, but I can't include glossary links.
I wish I could be more helpful. I logged this as an ehancement request with Support.

I am substituting the redirection Web pages from MadCap with some of my own. In Feedback Server Admin, on the Advance tab, there are two fields in which to point to local Web pages, one for Activation Success and one for Activation Failure. However, I've seen a third page from Madcap that appears ...

Chapter Heading Numbered - a numbered format for chapter titles
Appendix Heading Numbered - a numbered format for appendix titles
