I have some very large projects with long build times. When I cancel the build progress by hitting "Cancel", Flare seems to carry on or to just hang, it never gets me back to the project until I abort and restart Flare.

Re: RESOLVED Flare 8: Drag-and-dock to right side of Flare
Adjust for best appearance has basically the same effect as removing the Show translucent selection rectangle . But it might affect some other settings as well. Would be interesting to know what other setting was the culprit in your case. Would be easy to verify. In my case, Show translucent ...

Re: Flare 8: Drag-and-dock ... invisible symbols - resolved
I think I found the culprit for the invisible position indicators:
- Go to: Control Panel -> Performance Information and Tools
- In the left pane, click Adjust visual effects
- In the tab Visual effects under Performance options uncheck Show translucent selection rectangle

Re: Flare 8: Drag-and-dock to right side of Flare window?
I just tried it again. Here is what I did:
Opened the Concept Window. It's pane gets automatically place to the right of the Editor.
Grabbed the Pane and moved it to the center of the Flare window
Released the mouse button ... bingo, I obviously was in the right spot, the Concept Window got docked ...

Re: Flare 8: Drag-and-dock to right side of Flare window?
There seemingly a bug in this drug and dock function. When you drag a pane, you should see a set of symbols representing screens with shaded areas (look it up in the Help under Customizing the workspace . You are supposed to drop the pane on one of these symbols. These symbols replace the circles ...

Re: FileName ... Image with lots of numbers - Solution
I have found a (the) solution for this problem:
In the Profile (View>Profiles) set the Output File Name to whatever name you want to give to your screeshots, followed by {n}, e.g. capture{n}
Just giving a name and ommitting the {n} leads to those long numbers. As far as I can remember, in the ...

Re: Capture 5.0 does not take Region captures as expected
Same problem, but at 100% screen resolution (which suits my eyes).
In fact, when capturing a region, the cursor is offset from the cross-hair (simulation, the arrow denotes the position of the mouse pointer):

Re: FileName ... Image with lots of numbers
Yes, lots of numbers and a looooong file name. For each new screenshot one or two digits are added. Having used previous versions and now running V5, this is the first time I encounter this.
Is there a way to reset the number?

Re: Global linking - Auto-include linked files
I have tried conditional tags as well. But you will have to know which files to tag with ImportYes . And techwriter31 rightly leaves Auto-include linked files unchecked, because even if one checks this option, unless the corresponding linked file is tagged ImportYes , it doesn't get included. In ...

Re: Global linking - Auto-include linked files
Hi Andrew,
First let me thank you. I appreciate all the work you have put in for a "proof of concept".
The way you describe it does in fact work as expected. But this doesn't seem to be a very "friendly solution", since in my case I have to import some 20 each topics from 4 different projects ...

Re: Global linking - Auto-include linked files
What happens if you only select one topic? In my testing, when I selected one topic from a master project, the only files that showed up in the dialog to check or uncheck were the ones directly linked to that file (so, in my case, despite a project of a hundred topics and hundreds of PNGs, only 1 ...

Testing in a test project in Flare 7.01, I cannot duplicate the problem you list -- my PNGs are all getting imported. When the dialog appears showing you which files are going to be imported, does it display your image, and the import isn't working, or is it simply not showing up at all?

"Linked file" ... are you sure that means a picture inserted into a topic?

Global linking - Auto-include linked files
Trying to globally link to another project, I have created a parent project with just one topic. I have linked it to an existing (child) project from which I want to import a single topic containing a graphic.

One mystery is solved: The time for building a project is down to 2 minutes compared to 7 minutes before.
The problem:

When you view WebHelp Mobile project from Flare, you get this iPhone-like frame around the content.

SG, thanks for your reply, but my project consists of the glossary and only one html page with 2 lines containing 2 or more words corresponding to glossary terms.
