Since I originally found this question time has moved on. I am still at 10.2 and the code provided above does not expand the TOC in the navigation pane. Does anyone have any other solutions - and does v12 offer this as a configurable setting?

I have a topic with several bookmarks in it so my reader can conveniently jump to where he needs to go. All the cross refs that I insert look Ok in the editor but resolve to the name of the topic when I generate the output. What could I be doing wrong?

Worked out another way... so in case anyone else has this problem, go to the Massage tab of the output Build Progress dialogue and see what the last file was to be processed before it stopped with the error. then exclude from output!

Have checked Chrome, my default, and IE they both exhibit this behaviour. I am sure it's must be me being dense about something. But I am worried about my client as I am trying to persuade them that Flare would be a good buy. Can I send you the project?
