According to tech support, Lingo can exclude annotations. That's what they told me to use, but that won't work in my case because some of my conditions are necessary output - just not necessary for translation.

I see the slowdown too when I have to remote, even with the bare mimimums remoted. It is somehow related to the way they load the interface. For example, I can literally see pages refreshing from top to bottom in Flare, but I don't see that in any other application.

It sounds like the amount of common text versus conditionalized text is your challenge, not a Flare issue. I have many topics where every bit of content is conditionalized - no common content at all.
