I tried what you described Lisa, but it didn't change the outcome. I still get a ® that is the same size as the text. Is there a way of setting a separate character font within the TOC2 style? Its only within the t o contents that this might be an issue.

I'm sure this is a simple problem for all of you to solve but I'm still feeling my way around with Flare.
