HTML5-Help: Breadcrumps and toolbar next to each other
Hello, I need support: I would like to use a breadcrumb proxy to the left of the toolbar in our help topics. This means that the breadcrumb proxy and the toolbar should be next to each other. I already have a solution with a responsive layout in the template page that provides two cells (one for the...

HTML5 / Publish to Zendesk: Customize styles for categories,
Hello dear forum participants, if someone has experience with publishing help topics as articles in Zendesk, he/she might be able to answer the following question: Is it possible to set the styles for categories, sections and article lists in Zendesk via the flare stylesheet? Background: We imported...

Re: History back in Topic Toolbar
we are using Flare 2021r3. The UI Text tab, language 'German', only shows the supplied toolbar buttons. If I choose the language 'English', I also find my 2 new buttons.

Re: History back in Topic Toolbar
Hi Dave,
Thank you for your support.
Everything looks good so far - except for the missing tool tip. Do you know how to add a tool tip for a custom button. The button does not appear under UI Text.

How can you implement different styles for drop downs?
Hello Flare users, we need your support. We have different settings for the head and body of dropdowns: one with a grey background, another with a white background. So far we have created a CHM help and it worked by specifying the following in the stylesheet for drop-downs with white background: ---...

Re: HTML5: Name of the search tab changeable?
Thanks Nita for your feedback
I have already set the language to "German" in both the target and the skin. Even so, the name of the browser tab is "Search". Maybe I need to contact MadCap Support.

HTML5: Name of the search tab changeable?
Hello dear forum participants, we use MadCap Search for our HTML5 help. The search results are displayed in the browser tab "Search". Since we only have German users, I have the following question: Is there a possibility to rename the tab (Search in German = search). With the skin, you can...

Thank you very much Nita - also for the link.
I actually found out the procedure yesterday evening, but it's nice to know that you can get support quickly here in the forum.
Have a nice weekend

HTML5: Highlight search results
We create HTML5 help (Side Navigation skin). Since we only want to provide the help locally at first, we use the MadCap Search. Does anyone know if you can specify that the words found in the topic will be highlighted? I only found something corresponding in the flare help when using a Tripane Navia...

Re: CSH for HTML5 output: CSH calls and window design
Thank you for your reply, Dave Lee. That helps in the exchange with our developers.
I know that MadCap Support does not necessarily react to the forum posts, but I just tried it.

CSH for HTML5 output: CSH calls and window design
We are planning to transform our HTML Help (chm) into a HTML5 help. A lot of our topics are context-sensitive to the dialogs of our software by using alias and headers. In Flare help you are presenting two methods of connecting HTML5 help to software. According to our developers these mean the follo...

Xml code not being interpreted
I refer to the post of my colleague i-tietz "XML code not being interpreted" (september 16, 2011). Meanwhile 4 of our customers have this effect on one computer (Windows 7). One possible cause: Uninstalling the Google Chrome browser or another browser that has been used instead of IE as de...

Re: Special skin for CSH
Hi Bob, yes, I applied the right alias-file on the Advanced Tab in the target. CSH works generally, only the wrong skin is used. Our developers are using the map-value, which corresponds with the identifier in the header-file. Thank you for your tipps. I think, now it's a case for our developers. I ...

Re: Special skin for CSH
Hi Bob, thank you for your postreply :-) You are right. With die CSH API Tester in Flare it works. But it still does not work in my application. So the developer has to do something? When I asked one of our developers two days ago, he told me, that they don't refer to any skin. I think, they should ...

Special skin for CSH

Related Topic Links not in Popup Menu
Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum and I have nearly the same problem as described in the post of bouncybabs (Dec 02, 2008): The Related Topic controls are displayed in the Topics Found dialog box (chm-file) and not on a popup-menu alongside the control like in the preview of the XML Editor. I created t...
