When outputting Japanese text to a PDF target, how do you prevent bad word-breaks?
I'm sure the answer must be very easy, but I have not seen the issue here on the forums, and our Japanese translation vendor has not been able to get Flare's PDF output to behave properly.

Re: Xml error
I encountered the same error message — "Data at the root level is invalid."
For me, it was because one of my *.flali files had an invalid character in it. (My own fault; I find the Alias Editor quite opaque, and so I usually edit *.flali and *.h files manually so I can see what's really happening ...

Flare 5 fails on FM files with duplicate TopicAlias markers
I have many FrameMaker 8 files where the same TopicAlias markers (for CSH) appear in several places. In the simple case, the marker is duplicated within the same topic. In the more difficult case, the marker appears in two different topics.

Re: Localizing to Spanish, Italian, Chinese, ...?
I opened an enhancement request (11687) on this and received a reply from MadCap Tech Support. They confirmed that the DotNet help viewer doesn't support localization to other languages.

Localizing to Spanish, Italian, Chinese, ...?
Does anyone have experience trying to localize the DotNet Help Viewer to support languages beyond the current four?
For example: Do all of the *.mcstrings files need to have translations added? Is it OK to redistribute alternative file versions with custom localization?

Re: Frame 8, import into Flare...Master Page overrides
In the Transition From FrameMaker Guide, Chapter 5 ("After You Import") says:
Master pages from FrameMaker are not converted in Flare. You need to re-create them as page layouts.

Re: Thousands of images in multiple relative-path folders
Thanks for your help, Greg. I definitely need to break down my files into individual folders to keep my sanity. I think this means I need to import one book at a time from FM, taking care to reshuffle each book's images into a book-specific directory before importing the next one.

Inverted GPL - multiple parents, one child
We're just getting started with Flare. We've been using FrameMaker and WebWorks to generate PDFs and online help for a suite of 24 image-laden books. As I've been pondering the best structure for these books in Flare, I've theorized a construct that doesn't appear in Flare help or on this board ...

Thousands of images in multiple relative-path folders
I'm a newbie to Flare. I've looked through the boards without seeing the following problem/questions raised, so I thought I'd try a post here and hope to get some help.
In FrameMaker, we have a suite of 24 books, multiplied by 8 languages. Altogether, there are tens of thousands of images.
