Linking when using the Global linking feature
Not sure if I have the right forum, but global linking seems like a single-sourcing topic, right? I've a question regarding how to link between the top-level (main project) and subprojects. I've set up a project using the global linking feature with one top-level (global) project and two child proje...

Using hyperlinks in globally linked project
I've set up a project using the global linking feature with a parent and two child projects. In each child project, I import the shared files from the parent. Linking works as I expected in the child projects. (In a child project, when I want to refer to a topic that's in the parent project, I can i...

Re: WebHelp not displayed in IE7
Did you get an answer about whether changing the LoadRemote call to LoadLocal in the MadCapUtilities.js file has further implications? Does anyone have any idea when Flare might fix the issue? I hesitate mucking with the files if I can get the fix in a reasonable amount of time? (1 or 2 months). We'...

Re: Store Templates in "My Documents", you kidding?
Thanks for the suggested work-arounds. FYI, I did get an official response from Tech Support: Thank you for contacting MadCap Technical Support. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to set a custom 'My Templates' directory. I've submitted a feature request to the developers regarding this issue....

Re: Using CSH on a hosted server?
I think so. I assume that "alias" is the topic's identifier recorded in my alias file. For example, if I have a "mybutton" identifier, (that's associated with "mybutton.hm"), the URL would be http://_myURL.com/myhelp/default_CSH.htm#mybutton. On a somewhat related note,...

Re: Using CSH on a hosted server?
Wow. I didn't expect such an immediate response. Thank you! So just to be sure I've got this in my very thick skull: As Iong as I give the developers the URL to my start up topic, give them the folder I published, (and they've associated the appropriate IDs with their windows/buttons/and so on), it ...

How do I use CSH with a global project?
I've used the global linking feature to set up a global file and two subprojects. (Nice.)
I've created IDs to CSH topics in the alias files in each project. Do I need to merge the subproject's alias files with the global file? Or does it work automagically?

Using CSH on a hosted server?
First, I’m a newbie and feeling really dense on the topic of CSH on a hosted help system. I have read the appropriate help topics and searched the forum, but still have some questions: We’re using WebHelp and hosting the help system on a web site instead of incorporating it in the application. T...

Re: Condition tags no longer working?
Never mind. I got it working by clicking "Unselect All."
Sorry, I'm very new at this.
Thanks for your response though, you've given me some tips to check when I run into trouble again!

Condition tags no longer working?
I've defined a couple of condition tags (ImportNo and ImportYes) and all worked fine. Now,I'm adding new topics and I can no longer select one of the conditions (ImportNo). I can select any of the other conditions but not this one. Also, I cannot change existing topics from this condition to another...
