Re: Can I build a table of snippet columns?
Well, it does line up if I am very careful. I have to set absolute column sizes and make sure that the content inside of the cells doesn't wrap. Conversely, I could set the row height to allow for 2 lines within a cell but I think that will complicate things. But so long as all of the cells remain ...

Re: Can I build a table of snippet columns?
That's an interesting idea. My problem is that I have a hard time with not relying on my sight and so seeing a 12 column table, even knowing in the outputs it will only be 4, scares me. I may try it though.
What I've managed to do so far is to create two 2-column table snippets and then drop them ...

Can I build a table of snippet columns?
Conditions in snippets in snippets in tables. Very Seussical. But I think somewhere in there lies the solution to my problem.
I have table of information. Columns 1 and 2 are static and the content will not change. The information in columns 3 and 4 must change based on 4 or 5 scenarios. Eventually ...

Our deliverables (WebHelp) must be fully functional back to IE 6 and so we keep our browsers at that version also. We use later versions for non-production work but for the Flare environment, we're usually on an old version of IE.

Re: Creating a drop-down list of links
If it happens again, I will. I deleted it already and now I don't remember. But yes, it was definitely CCDATA stuff and that little string of characters. It looks like it added an extra closing script tag as well.

Good call, Lisa. That's exactly what the problem was. It works perfectly now.

Pete,
You are very close to becoming my personal hero because this is exactly what I'm looking for. The only problem is that it's not working quite right. The drop-down part is perfect. However, when selecting something, nothing happens and this line of text appears beneath the drop-down ...

Re: Creating a drop-down list of links
If anybody knows a workable code snip, I'd be very grateful. So far nothing I've found and plugged in works. I was told by support to create the links and then group them into a div and drop the div into a drop down. But, I can't figure out how to pull the div into the middle of the drop down and I ...

Re: Creating a drop-down list of links
Dave, yes of course it's helpful to them to type it in. However, it's also helpful to "at a glance" and see what the related error codes are. Searching is always an option and that's built in so I don't have to deal with it. But having a drop down will help not just for this area but other sections ...

Creating a drop-down list of links
Hi Everyone,
Is it possible to (easily) create a drop-down list of links? I am referring to the old school form element with a text box and a down arrow to the right of it with a "Go Baybee" type button next to it, not the expanding drop down functionality currently in Flare 5. Here's what I'm ...

Re: Using Flare V4 and V5 on the same machine
We are running 5 and 4 on our machines with no problems whatsoever. We make updates and edits (as well as notes about regression issues) in 5 and then have to revert to 4 to perform our Flare-Frame-PDF process and it works seamlessly.

Need Education - Relationship Tables
Hi Everyone,
Based on what I've seen and the few concepts that have managed to sink into my tiny little head, I think that the relationship tables in Flare 5 may be a gift from the Universe for the API documentation set that I'm reworking. However, the key phrase above is "tiny little head". While ...

I'm the one tasked with performing backwards compatibility checks for our group. I did this with 4.2.1 and we found enough issues that prevented us from making the switch. Has anybody found any Big Ones wrt to BC that I can keep an eye on?LTinker68 wrote:There might be some backward compatibility issues

Re: Problem with Native PDF Rendering Tables
It's taken a while to discover the almost-root cause. It's a bug of some sort, possibly a dual bug. The section in question is almost all tables. When we imported from Frame into 4.0 the conversion was fine. It required some cleanup but nothing outside of what we expected we would have to do.
When ...

Problem with Native PDF Rendering Tables
Hello,
I am using Flare 4.2.1 and am in the process of evaluating it for my team. Currently we use 4.0 but want to make sure that the new release plays nicely with everything we've done so far.
