Re: Images not appearing in PDF
Thank you everyone! As always, I didn't keep track of what exactly started this problem (as I didn't expect to see any problems). The best I can figure out today is that 1) the XML editor didn't show the images as missing links (today it does), and 2) the 'update links' functionality wasn't working ...

Re: Images not appearing in PDF
It seems that when I open a topic file, then change the name of the image sub-folder and update the links, the PDF picks up the image correctly, but only in the open topic file.

Images not appearing in PDF
Help!
I can see the images in the Flare project, and they always worked before, but now they suddenly do not appear in my PDF output. This is for images within a sub-folder within the 'Images' folder.
Thanks!

Re: Flare in Action!
Thank you Dave, this is great! Could you point me towards some information on how to use Foundation with Flare? I need a sort of 'quick start' guide. Also, do you know how to set the 'hamburger' icon in the header so that it always appears, for both desktop and mobile?

Using Flare with Umbraco 7
Hello!
I am currently in discussions with developers about using Flare in conjunction with Umbraco for online help on a public website. I'm just wondering - has anyone developed a workflow that maintains single-sourcing in Flare with adding content in Umbraco?
Thanks!

Hi,
Does anyone know if this issue has been resolved? I am having the same problem with hyphenation in the header for PDF output.

PDF Form Fields
Hello!
Does anyone know if Flare supports the use of form fields for PDF output? I'd like to use 'tooltips' in the PDF output to display popup definitions.
Thanks!

Re: Use review packages to edit in Flare
Hi Nita, The problem is intermittent, but yes, in one case, the file that I received back also does not have the callouts visible. He is working without any project open, it might be worth us trying this with a project open that has the same stylesheets, etc. At the moment, only one image file doesn...

Use review packages to edit in Flare
Hi, I've sent my colleague a review package so that he can edit some of my project files in Flare and add new images created using Capture. Although he is working in Flare, it seems that editing the review package prevents the callouts in the edited images from displaying properly. Has anyone encoun...

Re: Page break problems
Help! I am trying to keep together an h3, a p followed by another p, then an li on a single page. I've set up a 'keepTogether' div, but that seems to only apply to a whole list, not just one li. I'd rather use the standard page break settings, but they don't seem to work. Does anyone know why a 'pag...

How to output Microsoft Word heading styles
Hello!
I need to end up with Word output that uses Word's built-in heading styles (Heading 1, Heading 2, etc.) in order to use the Word navigation pane to display topics. Has anyone figured out how to do this?
Thanks!

Actually, they don't work in IE8 either, with or without the toolbar properties set.
Thanks again, your suggestions are very helpful.

Re: HTML5 Topic Toolbar Proxy alignment
Thank you Lisa. I have a case logged with tech support, because I cannot figure out which style to edit - .button-group-container-left changes seem to have no effect, nor do I know why Flare defaults to this and not to .button-group-container-right. I'll post the answer once I hear back from tech su...

HTML5 Topic Toolbar Proxy alignment
Hi! I've just started to use the HTML5 WebHelp, which is working great. Setting up the toolbar in the skin has worked fine. In my topics, however, I have a problem with aligning my topic toolbar proxy in the centre, as Flare seems to be assigning a 'button group' style that refers to a stylesheet ('...

Re: Page layout header frame not working in MSWord
Hi, I've discovered that the problem (at least in part) has to do with the fact that Word output cannot support different widths for the header, body and footer frames. The body frame width wins! When I make the frames all the same width - wide enough for my image within the header - it all works fi...

Re: Automatic bold text on rectangles?
Actually, I just figured out that the background needs to be set to something other than transparent, and then the text looks normal on all objects.

Automatic bold text on rectangles?
Hi, I am trying to create a text and line callout, but the text in rectangle and other objects seems to be always bold. This doesn't happen with a bubble callout. Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this?
Thanks!

Is it possible to make a mini-TOC look like a list?
Thanks to the forum, my WebHelp mini-TOCs have the right link styling.
Is it possible to make the mini-TOCs look like a bulleted list? I tried auto-number at the p.MiniTOC levels, at the proxy level, and at the link level, all to no avail.
Thanks!

PDF Output - Alternate text for images
Hi
Our accessibility expert has asked that my PDF output include alternate text for images. All of the images in my document have alternate text defined in the source image files (from MadCap Capture), but this alternate text does not appear in the PDF output.
Thanks

Re: Drop-down text no longer works
Hi Lisa
Yes, you were clear, and it was in the generated output that I looked at the source code.
For some reason though, once I restarted my computer, the drop-downs started to work after I changed the div tag back to mc-hyphenate not set.
Thank you so much for your help!
Regards
Karen

Re: Drop-down text no longer works
Thank you Lisa, that makes perfect sense. I had changed the div tag to mc-hyphenate: never. Undoing that, though, hasn't helped. When I use my new style sheet and view the source code, there are no drop down divs at all.
Hmmm...
