Re: PDF gets different fonts on different computers.
Okay, thanks for the info, sounds like have sans-serif wrong in the middle example. But that's a red herring I probably should have left out. The top and bottom examples show the problem occurs with font-family set to "Arial" only. That was the original problem, just tried sans-serif to see if it ...

PDF gets different fonts on different computers.
I'm not sure why, but on my computer fonts look different in a generated PDF than on a coworker's. We use the same same layout and .CSS, and all font styles are based on a single font style entry in that CSS--font style is only specified once in one place. Any insight appreciated, image attached ...

div takes space?
I'm seeing that a div tag is taking up space. Is that normal? IEven if i set the margins to 0 it's taking up space. Before I rethink what I'm doing I want to make sure this expected behavior and I'm not missing something dumb I need to set for my div to take up no space. See pic.

bonehead layout question
I have a document. it has a single chapter, about 30 pages. It has a title sheet. I've created a topic with a TOC proxy. I can create a PDF that is content complete.
However, I want to do these things and I'm missing the point entirely as to how to do them:
o Use a title page with no page numbers ...

add new files to repository in bulk?
Is there a way to check in a slew of files to source control in flare? Can only figure out how to do one at a time. Ty -billb

Re: how to do a page break for a numbered item
Yeah, makes sense. I'm coming at this from the point of view of it's cluttery to have H2.PageBreakBefore, H2.PageBreakAfter, etc., repeated for H3 and other elements.
I just looked it up & tested. Mulitple classes is in the CSS 2.1 standard, and I'm not srue about browser support, not supported by ...

Re: how to do a page break for a numbered item
I may be missing the point, but what about:
.PageBreakBefore
{
page-break-before: always; /* or whatever you want here */
{
and then apply that class to li, p, Hn or whatever?

Propogate from Flare to repostority?
Using Perforce with Flare 5 and it is working well. I have a question about general integration with source control in general.
QUESTION:
If I have a file checked out, can I delete it from the local file system and also have it permently removed from the perforce repository? If so, how?

autonumbering question
I have an autonumber set up like this:
h2.OTLab
{
page-break-before: always;
mc-auto-number-format: 'L:Lab {n+}: ';
mc-auto-number-position: inside-head;
}
That generates the format I want. However, applying that class in two different topics yeilds:
Lab 1: blah lbhal blha

Re: webhelp margins?
Went with padding for now, adding some pixels for non-print and explictly setting to 0 for print (just in case). Was great to school-up on mediums, an awesome feature! New to CSS and Flare, so you'll probably get a lot of random enthusiasm from me on these topics, stuff we only dreamed of doing in ...

When I generate WebHelp from a project, is there way to change the default margins for the content? In particualr, I'm talking about the top and left margins for the content pane, the pane to the right of the TOC pane. Annotated screenshot attached.

standard or 3rd party styles?
I'm new to Flare. I noticed in the styles guide that I can use Madcap's help/PDF style for my own projects. It's already helped in some ways (for example, wasn't sure if I needed a different heading styles for pagebreak and nopagebreak and saw that Madcap has them).

Re: enhanced superscript?
Thanks Greg and Steve! Yeah, if I format the font and select the superscript check box I get <span style="vertical-align: super;">1</span>. That was giving the me the undesired result. If I edit the HTML file and use a (or if I do the easy and and select the tag from local formattingsstyles ...

I sometimes superscript numbers for inline footers (yes, inline footers is an oxymoron, but it explains what I'm doing). Sometimes we have a bulleted list or a table that has some references and we want to show those references immediately after (at the bottom of) the list or table. Don't need ...
