Re: Flare 8: Dual monitors and UI being 'lost'

I see the same issue. It happens when I have a lot of windows open and I lock the computer to go away from my desk. Upon awakening, Flare's content windows appear but all menus/ribbon and UI elements do not.

Re: Updating topic title after renaming topic

Just wanted to say that this has saved my bacon a few times... and wanted to give some props to Lisa and Carl. Whenever you import a word file, Flare automatically creates the title tag with the first header of the topic. To keep our TOC accurate and (as we often import the screen topics from the de...

Re: Sharing Flare Project

We have 3 writers working without source control. We divided it up into separate projects with a master project. (We're in an environment that won't allow us Source Control.) Each writer can work their magic on all of their own project files, including the TOC, and our master project has a master TO...

Re: Using Flare for E-learning

This would be very much of interest for our team, too, as we're trying to consolidate and collaborate more on our training and documentation products. It would be nice to produce at least the bulk of the text in Flare before exporting as a SCORM object. (We could get client sign-off on content and t...

Re: Flare 7, Analyzer 4 and the All-new MadCap Contributor

No HTTPS support for sharepoint? I'm trying out the new version 7. Was very interested in SharePoint integration, but all of our sharepoints are on https servers. Flare and Contribute both prepend the address one enters with http:// . So our address ends up being http://https://sharepoint.ourserver...

Is it possible to import or create a new effect?

OK... I made a command decision to switch our writers from SnagIt to Capture based on the hype of how it integrated with Flare... before I checked everything out with due diligence. Other team members snagged our SnagIt licenses, so we can't go back without humilations galore and a (small) budget re...

Re: Structuring a Multi-Author Multi-Phase Multi-Output Project

Thank you for your thoughtful response, Dave. My print_modx projects were primarily designed simply to add the draft page layouts and their associated revision info and review instruction topics, which I can exclude from the master project with a conditional flag. So I won't need those. That'll save...

Structuring a Multi-Author Multi-Phase Multi-Output Project

Hi There... First post in the forums. Looked through and found somewhat similar topics but not close enough to help me solve my dilemma. I appreciate any help and guidance.... and am happy to elaborate more offline. Contact me at rchristensen [at] drc [dot] com. We're a team of three writers on a mu...
