Got a quick answer from MadCap's tech support that has fixed my problem. Sharing here in case others are struggling with the same issue.
They said, "it looks like this issue is occurring because the StylesForHomePage.css is being imported into the MainStyles.css. The StylesForHomePage.css has a ...

"body" element not obeyed in HTML5
In my new HTML5 project I'm using the stylesheets and master pages (and other elements) downloaded from MadCap, but when it's generated, the settings for margins and padding defined for the "body" are completely ignored. All the text and images (except those in the title bar) are positioned with no ...

Re: HTML5 Top Nav Side Menu background
Thanks, but I've already changed the side menu skin but it doesn't take. Figured I was missing something. And, I've already checked their online help. No joy there either.

Is it possible to change the background color (& font color) of the cool side menus provided with HTML5 Top Nav templates? Fingers crossed! Thanks.

Flare's "Related Topics Control" works fine in my webhelp mobile. Have you run into problems with it or are you unhappy with its appearance?

Re: Togglers don't perform in mobile help??
It's Windows CE 6. And, to complicate things further, it's a slimmed down, no bells and whistles version.
I suspect we'll have to live with its limited abilities, so I've decided to hide the "More" and similar prompts I've used to identify the toggler.

We're the problem, not Flare!
Mea culpa! Togglers do work in the webhelp mobile emulator. The problem is our product's use of a small-bore computer running Windows CE. This OS doesn't support togglers and other html elements.
Any chance you've forced Windows CE to obey your commands ...

Togglers don't perform in mobile help??
Togglers that work as expected in our good old .chm compiled help are misbehaving in our WebHelp Mobile output.
Flare's help says that this feature is supported in webhelp mobile. But, instead of hiding content till the toggler is used, the content is always displayed in our mobile help.
Any ideas ...

Flare 8 wreaked my ul/bullet lists
After upgrading to Flare 8, certain bullet (li) styles must be manually reapplyed for them to appear correctly. Only custom (not out-of-the-box) bullet styles are affected. When I first open a topic with a bullet, its formatting is all screwed up, i.e. the bullet appears but each word is on a ...

Has anyone come up with a fix or suggestions for improving the fuzzy, faded equations in print? I'm seeing the same problem, the equations look good online but are small and faint in the PDF.
TIA.

Re: How to stop table cells from breaking at a page break?
Thanks for the suggestions. So far, I've only seen partial success. Some tables look better, but the problem tables, those with merged cells - across rows, rather than columns are still misbehaving. In one instance the content actually changes the column its assigned to after a page break, i.e. it ...

Re: Remember window size and positon?
The HTML Help Workshop calls this option, "Save user defined window position after first use."
In RH, it's called, "Remember window size and position."
Using the default settings of the browser is a different option, and does not provide the same functionality.

Remember window size and positon?
I can't find the control/option in Flare to tell the .chm file to remember its last position and size the next time the user opens the Help.
I expected to see it in the skin definition. Is it me? (it wouldn't be the 1st time!)

Creating a snippet from DIV gives error msg
Has anyone else received this error message when using the doc_guy's recommendation for creating snippets from a div? "Creating snippets from multiple blocks."
It is an IE script error, so I'm not sure if it's me or Flare.
Currently it doesn't appear to be preventing the creation of the snippets ...

I must be missing something simple! How do you simultaneously select multiple files in Content Explorer? After importing a RH project, all the image files are dumped into the root folder. Must I move them one at a time to the Images folder?

Re: Importing project to Flare from RoboHelp 7
Has anyone heard of a solution to this problem? I'm experiencing the same thing.
So far, EVERY topic that contains a script imported from RH7 launches the debugger when I try to view the topic in Flare's XML editor. And I'm running v6.

Apply page layout without incrementing chapter number
Sorry if this has been explained in another post - I couldn't find it.
How can I apply a different page layout to certain pages within a chapter without incrementing the chapter number? Or, can I otherwise specify which chapter numbers to apply to the next/subsequent chapters?

Thanks, Margaret. But it's worse than I thought.
The style changing thing is happening way more than I'd initially noticed, so it is causing problems with the look of the Word output. For example, some, but not all!, of the topics with a h3.heading 3 style in Flare are converted into h2_Heading3 ...
