Re: Best Practice for CSS multiple targets
I'm anal about CSS  and work by myself...for now. I was taught old school for web pages you always have a style sheet for each medium (print, mobile, etc.). I don't care for the combination sheets as it looks too messy to me (organization freak). That being said it does take some extra work ...

Re: Table Single Sourcing
Is there a way the glossary can be used to do this? Or one of the other features that use a proxy? I use the glossary for my acronym lists since I can create them in XML which is much quicker than typing them in the GUI.

Re: Visio diagrams
Sorry for the late post but I just saw this post.
I had an issue a while back similar to this and I can't remember who gave me the best practice for Visio. They told me to save it as an Enhanced Metafile (*.emf) in Visio. The diagrams came in much clearer than png, etc.

Also what version of IE are you using? Each IE flavor seems to have its own quirks. I'm guessing by the date of the tut that it may be Flare ver 4. However, it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong.

Re: Page Layouts - PDF ok but Word Not
I finally had a chance to look at this again and figured out the problem, me. I made a copy of my PDF target and TOC then started working my way through it to get the Word header issue fixed. I forgot to point the Word target at the Word TOC.

Export Headings and Text as XML
I have this one weird manual requirement where it has to be duplicated in Excel right now. It is then converted to XML and imported into the .NET application. This getting started information is then displayed on the landing page as a pseudo online help. I keep saying do an HTML help instead ...

Create external relative PDF link
I have a project that has been split into two targets (admin and user). When I generate the user manual and reference a section in the admin manual it results in an absolute path. It creates an absolute path to the content folder. I've tried a few different ways to no avail.
On another project I ...

Re: Page Layouts - PDF ok but Word Not
Thanks Frits,
That could explain my last issue with the graphics not showing even though I set them up as a table in the header like I was told. I've added this gem to my little guidelines/quick reference project.
I set up "Word" page layouts so I wouldn't mess up my PDF ones. I have a feeling I ...

Re: Page Layouts - PDF ok but Word Not
According to support Word does not pick up graphics in a decoration or image frame. You have to use a table which solved the problem. However, I'm missing my horizontal line which was the bottom border of the header frame. I changed the bottom of the table so it had a a border then everything ...

Re: Page Layouts - PDF ok but Word Not
Bob,
Thanks for the reply. I opened a ticket to support today once I found out my maint key. It took a lot of research, struggling and work to get my PDF to a near match of the original Word 2007 documentation. I figured a work-around to get my chapter-page numbering in the TOC. (However, I'm still ...

Style in default style sheet - Newbie ?
I've been poking around in the style sheets since I know CSS and notice there are some special styles in the CSS files. The default style sheet which can be downloaded at http://www.madcapsoftware.com/documentation/Styles/styles.css has the following style:
MadCap\00003AdropDownHead.DropDownList ...
