Hi All,
This may be one of the shortest posts ever. Does anybody know if the build log can be excluded when you publish to a destination? I have an internal location on a Sharepoint server to which I post internal documents - PDF format. Everything works beautifully, BUT for each document posted to ...

Re: Rename the output file
Hi - I was doing some research on an HTML Help problem and saw this post, so thought I would pass along a little experience. If you change the name of a generated CHM in Windows Explorer, search results will be displayed twice - i.e., go to the search tab, type in a search word and execute, and ...

Re: Need help with page layout frames
Here’s what I did – I put a body frame on top of the decoration frame. Configure the body frame so it has no background. It will be transparent when rendered, though not in WYSIWYG. Then, create a topic with the text you want printed over the decoration frame, applying whatever style or styles ...

Re: Search Tab Not Working
I have the same problem when performing search in chm files generated by Flare 7.0 (on Windows XP), what shall I do then?
Hi Olga - You have a pretty name. I had this issue in Flare 8 on XP, and registering the itcc.dll solved the issue. Here's how (forgive me if this is too basic, but I'm an ...

Re: Flare ignoring TableStyle left margin
After much experimentation and a little outside help, I have the answer to this issue. It's the Align property in the Table Properties dialog. If set to Left, it inserts the margin_left=0 property in the table_class whenever a table is inserted or edited. Setting the Align property to <default ...

Re: Flare ignoring TableStyle left margin
Lisa,
Thank you again for taking the time to consider this issue – I greatly appreciate it.
Yes, unfortunately the output renders the table with the zero margin. I am rendering the print output directly to PDF and non-print to HTML help.

Re: Flare ignoring TableStyle left margin
Thank you - excellent explanation.
Deleting the inline style fixes the issue, but unfortunately doesn't solve the problem. When I delete the inline style, save and close and reopen in WYSIWIG, everything is correct. But if I change media types, Flare inserts the inline style again.
To test this ...

Re: Flare ignoring TableStyle left margin
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the suggestion. Below is the code for one of the affected tables followed by one that is not affected. The margin-left property is "0" in the affected example, and I assume that that is the inline style to which you are referring, but it also looks like both styles are being ...

Flare ignoring TableStyle left margin
Hello - thanks for looking at this.
Flare has suddenly stopped honoring the margin-left property in my Table Styles. I am on v4.2 – I know but it ain’t my money. I am attempting to convert a project that was previously used only to produce HTML help to also produce PDF output, and have a ...

Re: Reimporting Word Files
Ok - played with this some more. Deselected "avoid creating empty topics" in the flimp file and now I have the updated topic in my help file. The threshhold was set at 1000 characters. Not smart.
I also have the old pre-update topic in there under a separate name. The updated topic name is "System ...

Reimporting Word Files
Hello Madcap forum folks.
I'm a new Flare user and inherited a project on a new job. It's been a process of discovery that is, I'm sure, ongoing.
This project consists of a 500ish topic HTML Help file that was apparently imported from a single Word document with every Heading1 and Heading2 topic ...
