Issues when printing WebHelp topics

Hi all! The 'print topic' option in the WebHelp toolbar only prints the content on the top level of the topic but not the content within the sub topics (of that topic). Users need to click on each sub-topic url within that topic to be able to print them. Is there something I can do to change this? A...

Re: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Thanks for the suggestion. I opened my stylesheet in a text editor and couldn't see anything unusual. I hadn't made many changes to my stylesheet so I deleted it and created a new one and I still get this error. I'm opening a support case. Thanks!

Object reference not set to an instance of an object

I've been able to successfully build my mobile output for a few weeks now (it's even integrated into the mobile app), and suddenly this morning I'm getting an error and can't compile. I keep getting this compile error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object This error occurs right afte...

Dropdowns and WebHelp footers in IE8

When viewing webhelp in an IE8 browser, when I expand a drop down topic, the footer text (my copyright, etc.) moves up into the body of the drop down text. Has anyone encountered this? Is there a way to fix it?

Thanks!

Re: Webhelp topics don't print

I just wanted to post a resolution to this thread, in case anyone ends up having this problem after me. The problem ended up being unrelated to Lisa's suggestion (although I appreciated her suggestion). The problem was they Div.Body display type on my stylesheet. It was set to inline-block and I had...

Re: Webhelp topics don't print

Hi Lisa, thanks for the suggestion! I tried this but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I then tried creating an entirely new medium and pointing toward that. It still doesn't print. So to recap: - I edited my stylesheet (called WebHelpStyle.css) in the internal text editor and changed the @media...

Webhelp topics don't print

When I attempt to print a webhelp topic, I get one blank page that just displays the browser header and footer and the ABC Help > About this help breadcrumb, and then nothing else, then a page with the browser header and footer AND the first expected page of help content, then another blank page wit...

Re: Renaming Project File

I want to change the actual project file name. Long story, but we have two projects with different content but the same project name, which has caused some internal confusion.

Re: Character spacing issues

I wanted to post the resolution in case anyone else ends up having a similar issue. Thanks to MadCap support, we discovered that it had nothing to do with my stylesheets. I had to change the DPI settings on my system to 96dpi and then the project compiled perfectly. Hope this helps someone - thanks ...

Re: Character spacing issues

Hi Lisa! I'm using Times New Roman, so I don't think that's the issue... Any other ideas?

Character spacing issues

Hi there... I'm having issues with the character spacing in my PDF output. I know it must be something in my print stylesheet, because the webhelp looks perfect - but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is and now my brain hurts. There are two issues: 1) Many of the TOC items look like thi...
