Re: Images are HUGE in word output
The resolutions for them are all different sizes. Some that are 1" x 1" and others that are 5" x 5". I tried the Max-width for the IMG tag but it is still printing very large for all images, regardless of their native resolution. I recently added a very large image to use as a background for the ...

Images are HUGE in word output
I recently upgraded to Flare 7 from Flare 6 and noticed this issue. When I build my Word output for a 490 page document, it comes out at 3,217 pages because each image has been blown up larger than 11x8.5 and runs off the screen. When I go to Word and right click on one of the images and select ...

Re: image appearing over the top of the footer
Jonathan,
I have had a similar problem, so much so that I started just doing my output to Word and then converting it to PDF from there. One thing you could try is making the tag you are using a page-break-before for the specific image. The document I was converting to PDF was about 490 pages so ...

Error when using WebHelp Plus
I am using the WebHelp Plus output for the first time and am having some trouble getting it to work smoothly. I created the website through IIS and converted the Service folder to a application like I was instructed on MadCap WebHelp. The biggest issue as of right now is that I repeatedly receive ...

Re: Remove from Search not working
Are the topics that are wrongly being included in the search supposed to be in the Output?
For Example: I have some test topics in Flare that I mess around with, but I don't want those available in my output, so I block them. They do not appear in the WebHelp output at all nor do they appear in the ...

Is there a way users can edit through Web Help?
Kind of a off the wall question. I was asked if Flare can allow our clients to edit the Web Help output without the actual Madcap Flare application. Quick background for this. Our company creates software for government owned offices. We deploy out the WebHelp with the software. The user would like ...

Re: Search Results for Topics NOT included in TOC
I interpreted that as not only should the topics not be in the search, they should not be in the output at all. In which case you'll have to use conditions to exclude topics.
When you generate help output, it includes *all* topics in the project, not just those in the TOC. If there are topics you ...

Re: Cannot shortcut WebHelp from network drive
Well folks I finally figured it out! :D
After looking at the thread below, I added the WebHelp location to my list of Trusted Sites in IE and it is now showing up! I am now going to see if this needs to be done to all users computers, or if there is a fix that we can do from the arm share to fix ...

Re: Cannot shortcut WebHelp from network drive
I had one of our IT gurus over working on this for over half an hour and could not figure it out. He thinks it might be permissions but he set the security to "Everything" for the folder and it still wouldn't display. I will continue to trouble shoot this.

Re: Cannot shortcut WebHelp from network drive
When I click on the Default.htm file in the WebHelp main folder it opens IE but just gives a page error. The error is the default one saying the site could not be found. I could try installing a different browser, but I will want it to work with IE since that is what our customers commonly use ...

Cannot shortcut WebHelp from network drive
I am having a problem with viewing the WebHelp from a network drive.
I have placed the WebHelp folder on a network drive in the office and then created a shortcut for employees to access it and it works fine. I then put the folder on a customer support box that our software runs off of. The problem ...

Re: Block content from printing from the Webhelp browser?
Thanks Lisa! That worked perfectly!
I did try to do the same thing to MadCap|breadcrumbsProxy and it seems to not be working with that. I did the same thing to hide the breadcrumb as I did the links but it still shows up. Not a huge deal or anything, just trying to make the printed page look clean!

Block content from printing from the Webhelp browser?
I have hyperlinks at the bottom of all of my pages that link up to other pages in the project. They already have condition text to only show on the screen, and not in the Word output. The problem I am having is that I dont want the hyperlinks getting printed out when the user prints from the browser ...

kevinmcl- Do you have any updates on the fix yet from your source?? I did some research to see if I could find information on the web about chrome and this issue and ran across this:

Nevermind. I found my solution here: http://forums.madcapsoftware.com/viewto ... =9&t=11022
I am using Chrome and there is a known issue with WebHelp coming through to it.

Re: Flare 6.1 build output skin is blank
I am having the same issue. Except I have created a new WebHelp target and a new Default Skin to attempt to fix this but it is still blank. Is there a certain setting that needs to be turned on or what not in the General tab for the WebHelp target?

Problems with Styles Building to Word
Hey All,
