Hi
I am using a WebHelp2 Output and I want to include a list of files into the output that do not appear in the Table of Content.
- Some of these files are linked by other topics so they will be included - no problem.
- However some other files are not linked but they must go in the Output as well ...

Re: Possible to compare topics or snippets?
I use Winmerge for that. In the newer versions there is even a comparision mode for WebPages.
But I'd be also interested if there are even better tools - specificly for comparisions of XML files.

Re: Alter Hyphenation-Rules
I agree. The way Flare applies German hyphenation rules is correct but if there are multiple alternatives then Flare selects one that a creature with feelings would never select. The German language uses a lot of noun-compounds. In most cases, we would rather break these down into individual words ...

Manage Recent Projects in Windows Task Bar
I am familiar with how to manage the "recent projects"/"recent files" list on Flare's Start Page. But there is another "recent projects"/"recent file" list when you right-klick the Flare icon in the task bar and it seems to be independent of the one in the start page.

Hello everybody,
From time to time I ran into the same problem and I remember that the method SteveS described here worked very well.
However today it's the first time that it failed.
The only difference I see is, that it is the first time I try to use it on Windows 11.

Hi Dave,
I don't think mini-TOCs have changed at all, so maybe you've changed something?
well, the only change I am aware of was to update my Flare versions regularly.
The mini-TOC will not necessarily be the same for your help and print targets though.

Mini TOCs only for print output ?
Dear Forum Community,
with great surprise I recently noticed that my online output no longer displays Mini Tocs.
However, they are still present in the print output.
Did I miss an announcement from MadCap? - Is this on purpose or is this a bug?
Is there a way to get them back?
Thank you for you ...

Hi all,
I'm using Mad Cap Flare on a desktop computer and on a laptop for several years now.

I had the same question. I presume it has something to do with the option to overwrite variable definitions in .flvar files by definitions in target files (.fltar) ... However - if this was true, one would expect multiple attributes showing all "EvaluatedDefinitions" for all targets ...

Re: Stopping body proxy content from showing behind fixed fo
Thank you Muffin,
this thread is indeed enough to get it running!! Thank you!!
In my case it was a bit more complicated, because I use a Top Navi Output, so the width and the position of the footer bar must be corrected too.
But adding the rule left: auto; to the #footer style does the job.

I just cleaned my MadCap Source files with regex. Thereby I found some Topics using the namespace xmlns:MadCap="http://www.madcaptware.com/Schemas/MadCap.xsd" along with attributes like d1p1:lastBlockDepth d1p1:lastHeight d1p1:lastWidth .

Thank you Nita for the quick reply
however, I was already aware that Side Nav/Top Nav do not support project merging and I had no illusions towards hacking it.

when I build a project with a TOC that contains project merging links, the compiler says: "Removing entry: The current target type does not support linking to a project:" (The Error ID is 10129).
