Adding a Last Update Date stamp on the Welcome page

Hello, We would like to have a date stamp (or some sort of numbering sequence) on the Welcome page of our webhelp every time it is compiled. This will enable QC to know which help is the latest version. I know that I can simply open the topic (or the target) and update the version or date. However, ...

Re: Can't get search filters to work in merged envirnoment

It has been 2 years and several releases later...I still see this bug in Version 7. Does anybody have a workaround solution for this?

Re: condition tag background color not appearing

I enabled mine to Show Conditional Indicator but I still don't see any of the background colors. Is there some other setting that I need to enable? Thanks!

Re: Importing Code into Flare

We didn't end up using Sandcastle. Surprisingly, the output (code samples) was not formatted?! We ended up manually copying code and pasting it on a Flare topic. We did use Syntax Highlighter to format our code and it's working quite well. You can see the steps on how used Syntax Highlighter here: h...

Re: Fast way to tidy / prettify Java, XML, HTML code samples?

I tried Syntax Highlighter. Didn't work for me. However, I did find one that is based on Google's Prettify!

It works great! You can even customize the look and feel of it. Better yet, their forum/support site is very good.

Re: Importing Code into Flare

Yes, they are in the process of doing that.
I am now able to 'automate' a few things so my code samples look a bit better without too much effort. In the meantime, I will keep on searching for something better. Thanks for your replies!

Re: Fast way to tidy / prettify Java, XML, HTML code samples?

Did anyone try using "Syntax Highlighter"?
This site has step-by-step instructions on how to use it with Flare:

I am in the process of testing it - keeping my fingers crossed.

Importing Code into Flare

Hello, We've been manually creating a developer's guide that contains such details as code samples, the methods and classes, and their descriptions and comments. So far, developers send us the content, we copy and paste it into Flare and format it. This is very time consuming. I just found the Synta...

IE Script Error when viewing a .chm file

Hello, I've compiled my HTML Help project with Flare 6.1 and it looks fine when I view it. However, when we view it through a Citrix environment (Windows 2003 server), it displays an IE Script error: "The sytem cannot find the path specified" and lists "SkinSupport/MadCapUtilities.js&...

Hyperlinking to another project?

I inherited a monster project that consists of thousands of files. I want to separate this project into several more manageable'child' projects. Most of the time, it should work fine. However, sometimes we will need to create a link from one topic (from child project A) to another topic (in child pr...
