Related Topics in PDF version?
My client wants the links listed in the Related Topics control to also be available as cross reference links in the PDF version. Is there any way to do this easily? Otherwise, in each topic that contains the Related Topics control, I have to manually create a list of links and then mark them for pri...

PDF build error
If I build the PDF target, open it in Adobe and then close the file, THEN try to rebuild, I get the following error message. I have to completely restart Windows in order to build again. Any ideas?

Customers can't open .chm file, or topics don't display
Some of our customers are not able to open the .chm file I created with Flare, even though they could open previous versions I created with RoboHelp. And a few can open the file, but the topic content does not display. I I've read up on this online and it seems that in the past it could be due to Wi...

Re: Hover color not working on visited a and breadcrumb links
Yep. That WAS it. I swear I looked at that a million times, but it must have been wrong in the stylesheet from many versions back in RoboHelp. I'm using the legacy stylesheet from an imported project, and they were in the wrong order. I ended up having to edit the stylesheet manually, since I can't ...

Hover color not working on visited a and breadcrumb links
I have set all pseudo class colors for all the link types I'm using to the following: link/visited - light blue (same color) hover/active/focus - pink (same color) The trouble is that once a link is visited, the hover color no longer works. This seems to be the case in these places: simple links (a)...

Search not working in compiled HTML Help
I think I've included all the steps to include Search in the compiled help file, but when I search for any word, it pops up with the message No topics found. It looks like it briefly starts to search, but the message appears quickly. When I look through the build log, I see that there is no line tha...

Re: New CSH with imported project
Thank you, Rick! That's what I thought, but I just wanted to make sure. Since I'm new to Flare, your help is most appreciated.

New CSH with imported project
I'm creating HTMLHelp and I imported a legacy RoboHelp project that I've been working with for years. I've gone through and cleaned up the code and am ready to start compiling, but I have a question about CSH. Since the software program that the help system is for has been completely rewritten this ...

Re: Using mini TOC for online and print output
Thanks! I'll work with that for awhile and see how I do. I appreciate the help. It seems to be working okay. The master page clarification in the article and your post was key!

Using mini TOC for online and print output
I have been trying to figure out the best way to use mini TOC in my project, and just can't wrap my head around the placement and workflow of it. I've read through the discussions and the documentation, but I'm still confused, being very new to Flare. Here's what I'm trying to do. My targets will be...

Re: Need help with formatting procedure steps
Andrew, that helps a lot! Thanks! A button on the toolbar I hadn't yet discovered  This method seems to work better for what I'm trying to do, since I can simply set the bottom margin on the dropDownHead to the same spacing as my default paragraphs. Also, when my project imported, it contained ...

Need help with formatting procedure steps
I'm just starting to use Flare and I need some guidance. I've imported a big RoboHelp project that I've worked on for years. It was designed only for online output, so I used simple list features in RoboHelp. I want to rebuild all my procedure steps in the best way, simplifying my style sheet as muc...
