HTML5: Changing the color of the menu button?
Can anyone tell me how to change the color of the (currently white) menu button? I finally found the sucker hidden wayyyyyy down in the guts of Flare (C:\Program Files (x86)\MadCap Software\MadCap Flare V11\Flare.app\Resources\WebHelp2\Desktop\Skins\Default\Stylesheets\Images\ResponsiveMenuButton ...

Footnote format follies
When I format a footnote number (superscript, bold) for within the text, I get the same formatting in the footnote itself.
Can you format them separately? And if so, where?
Thanks --

Question -- Why does Flare generate table classes?
Really, I'm more curious than anything else -- Though I'd love to know how to make it stop, too...
When you create a table, Flare generates a class for each element within the table.
For example -- What I thought I built:

Oh -- that would be because Flare decided that all of my files (imported from Word) were using the Word stylesheet (did it matter that I set the global properties and the Target to use the correct stylesheet? No. It did not. But that seems to be another issue).

Flare 10/analyzer 7 -- Can't find undefined classes?!
Cross-posted to Analyzer forum.
I just sucked in a large Word project, which means I have a bazillion (give or take a few) undefined classes.
For example, all of my (several hundred) heading 2's came across as <p class="H2Black">Fubar</p> rather than <h2 class="H2Black>Fubar</h2>.

Re: Page numbers aren't behaving in PDF/Flare 10.2.2
Solved! Sort of.
Before rebuilding the entire project, I decided to just rebuild the Target. Oddly enough, that seemed to work.
I still have no idea what was broken or why. But I did figure out how to deal with the problem.
Thanks all!

Thanks Jason --
It should work (and yes, I"m using the correct variable). But it just doesn't.
For my next trick, I'm just going to recreate the project and see if that fixes it.

I am completely befuddled --
I just rebuilt the TOC, and I'm still getting the same output.
I've set all of my number formats to decimal, but I'm still getting roman.
The folks at Madcap seem to be able to run it with no problem....

Re: Page numbers aren't behaving in PDF/Flare 10.2.2
Hi Jason --
I get the following numbering:
A blank Title page, followed by page i (Contents), page ii (should be page 1), page iii (should be page 2).
However, even more bizarrely... If I set the Contents to decimal, I STILL get roman....
It's beginning to look like a bug.

Re: Page numbers aren't behaving in PDF/Flare 10.2.2
Thanks Nita --
An excellent guess, but the page is already associated with /Chapters > First Right.
For what it's worth, it's picking up the rest of the footer correctly, so I know I'm pointing to the right place -- it's just that the numbering is being inordinately stubborn.
Phooey.

Page numbers aren't behaving in PDF/Flare 10.2.2
I've got a very tiny PDF target (2 pages with a cover and a TOC [I know that's kind of silly, but it's a test project for a new stylesheet]) for which the numbering has decided that:
a) It really really wants to be in roman format (i, ii, ...), and
b) It's going to completely ignore any request ...

Re: Creating a non-span font format
That works, but as always, there's a trick.
Those hard-coded font styles are really hard-coded (along with their names). So, for big, I cannot change the font size to Default, but I can change it to Inherit. That'll do unless someone comes up with a better plan (or makes Track Changes functional ...

Theoretical question: Images -- tables vs div tags?
Hello all --
Here's something to ponder with your morning coffee
I'm sucking a whole bunch of manuals from Word into Flare. Within each chapter/topic there are a number of tables that have text on the left, an image on the right.
At the moment, the documents will be output as PDFs, but we will be ...

For other folks -- I think I managed to fix the issues with the broken SUB topics by changing "Open in browser frame" option from _self to _top In the Advanced Properties tab of the Merged TOC file.
I still can't get links across projects to work, but that's a whole different topic.

Hi all -- I'm in a panic, and maybe, just maybe someone has a clue (MadCap support does not).

Two projects-once changes, one doesn't. How to publish?
I've got an HTML5 project (though I don't think that matters) that consists of a main project (MAIN) and a merged chunk of topics (SUB).
The problem I'm trying to solve is that the SUB project will change at a different rate than the MAIN project. In theory, I will be publishing the MAIN project to ...
