Re: Pin the footer to the bottom of the page?

Quick question . . the script in the master page (or whatever it's called now) references the div.logo-wrapper, but I didn't find that div defined in the style sheet bits you posted. Would you mind posting the div.logo-wrapper bit as well?

Thanks,
Tracey

Re: Display a (short) topic in a pop-up window?

Update: After wrestling with this problem a while this afternoon, a memory percolated up from a few years ago, of having tried this very thing and having it not-work back then. I had forgotten about that experience, and am hoping that now the issue then with Target Frame = Popup Window has been res...

Display a (short) topic in a pop-up window?

My UX designer would like the technical support information to appear in a pop-up when the user clicks an icon in the help pages, like below. TechSupportPopUp.jpg I have set the link up to link to a .htm file in the project, and to use Target Frame = Popup Window. However, it keeps coming up with th...

Re: Need to get rid of thin black line around pop-up graphic

ChoccieMuffin, that did it! I changed the border to 4px and red, and that confirmed that this controlled the pop-up border. So I set it to border: none; (no colors or thickness values), and the pop-up graphics are now border-free. :D

Thanks!

Re: Need to get rid of thin black line around pop-up graphic

LOL! I do the same thing, though my preferred color is hot pink. :-) I had hoped that setting the line color to white would also help, since my background is white and a white-on-white line would disappear against the background, but no dice so far. But I have faith in the forum, that someone out th...

Re: Need to get rid of thin black line around pop-up graphic

I found the MadCap|popup Body in the stylesheet and have fiddled with it extensively, but am still getting the thin black line around my pop-up graphics. In desperation, I even set the values to border=none, border size to 0px, and the border color to white (#ffffff), but I'm still getting a black l...

Need to get rid of thin black line around pop-up graphics

My UX designer wants to get rid of the thin, black line that appears around the pop-up graphics (the reader clicks the thumbnail graphic in the topic, and the pop-up appears at full size) in the help. In the style sheet, I have set the line on everything I could find related to thumbnails and pop-up...

Pin the footer to the bottom of the page?

My UX designer would like me to "pin" the footer on the home page to the bottom of the page or browser window, rather than have it up near the carousel of icons. Ideally, we would like to pin the copyright statement as a footer to all the other topic pages as well, but the home page is the...

Re: Need space between tables

Argh! I had tried that solution before and it didn't work, but in hindsight, I'll bet I had the wrong medium selected! I tried again per Nita's advice, triple-checking my medium selection, and it worked perfectly. While I am chagrined that I did not spot the (rather obvious) problem mysel...

Need space between tables

When I have two tables in a row in a topic, there is spacing betweem tables in the WYSIWIG editor, but when I preview them in Flare or build the help and look at it in a browser window, there is not spacing between the tables. (see attached image) I have hunted all over the Tablestyles .ccs files an...

Line up header and footer logos on home page?

On my help Home page, my UX designer wants the company logo to line up vertically with the same logo in the footer. I achieved this by editing the HTML5 - Top Navigation file, Styles > Hader > Padding > Left and using 120px. I was dismayed to discover, though, that the same padding was also being ap...

Re: Hide the side menu icon on ONLY the home page?

With the help of my UX designer, I believe I have tracked down the style sheet that is taking precedence over my ESO_StylesForHomePage.css file. It appears that a style sheet called Tablet.css is the culprit, and I infer that the Tablet.css file is generated by Flare during the build process. After ...

Need space between logo and the Search bar

On my topic pages, my UX designer wants me to add some whitespace between the company logo and the Search bar. I have hunted all over in vain for the attribute to control this, in the skin files, the master pages, and the style sheets. Can someone please point me to whatever file and attribute contr...

Re: Hide the side menu icon on ONLY the home page?

Hmmm . . . I've checked the Home.htm file in my output, and it DOES have the line linking it to ESO_StylesForHomePage.css, and <link href="Resources/Stylesheets/ESO_StylesForHomePage.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> I checked the target's General tab anyway, and...

Flare crashes when selecting a logo file in .svg format?

I am able to use .svg files without a problem in my topic files, but when opened the HTML5 - Top Navigation file in the Skin Editor, went to Styles > Header > Logo and selected my company's logo image in a .svg format, Flare crashed. Hard. This surprised me since the file type was supported in the t...

Re: Add padding above and below the logo in the header ?

Update: While working on something else entirely, I tripped over the solution to the problem. I thought I would share it with the forum in case anyone else wants to move the logo graphic down a bit. The mistake I had been making was while in the Skin Editor, I had turned on the Highlight feature and...

Re: Hide the side menu icon on ONLY the home page?

Hmmm . . . I followed the directions in the previous forum post, but did not get the same results (the side menu icon did not disappear on the home page). I have a separate style sheet for the home page, named ESO_StylesForHomePage.css . In that style sheet, right after the body tag, I have added th...

Hide the side menu icon on ONLY the home page?

My UX designer is recommending that I get rid of the side menu icon on my help Home page, as the 1st-level headings in it are redundant with the icon carousel in the middle of the home page. I have found how to hide the icon on ALL the help pages by editing the HTML5 - Top Navigation file, but not h...

Re: Add padding above and below the logo in the header ?

Thanks, Nita! I will give this a try (editing the logo to add whitespace above it in the image file). I had been hoping there was some way to do it in Flare, but this will work as well.

Add padding above and below the logo in the header ?

My UX designer wants me to have more whitespace above and below the company logo on all the help pages, particularly between the logo and the Search bar. I would assume this is controlled by the HTML5 - Top Navigation.flskn file, but in the WYSIWIG editor, the only vertical alignment options I see a...

How to count number of times each snippet is used

I am a big fan of snippets and use them a lot in my projects, but sometimes I have find that I have a created a snippet that I end up using only once in the project, instead of the multiple times I had had anticipated. A snippet used only once seems rather pointless to me, and creates a unnecessary ...

Well, we can always cross our fingers that Ma...

Need to print full-size images from HTML5 output

I have convinced the project team I am currently work with that it is a good move to bring some of their old PDF files in to an HTML5 output and post them as a small online help system. They were generally happy with the idea, since they could still print the topics, but they want to the topics prin...

Re: Need an X or Close on pop-up images

Sure . . . it was a wonderfully elegant solution, and all credit must go to JasonSTI. :-) I added the following big of code to my CSS Stylesheet. The GraphicsCloseIcon.jpg is one I created and saved into my Resources/Images file (just a blue circle with a blue X in it). The .MCPopupContainer class i...
