Is there a way of soft wrapping the text in Code snippets? The text just keeps going.
Not a big problem in Web output as a scroll bar appears. However, in Word and PDF output, the text simply disappears at the right page margin.

Re: Flare 2018 changes Capture styles
The new integrated Capture is simply Capture given away. It is the same version 7.0.
I think that the issue may be updates made to the MadCap CSS that get bundled in when building a target.

Flare 2018 changes Capture styles
We have a lot of numbered palette items in our projects, and Flare 2018 changes how all of them look. Considering how many we have and the time that would be required to change them all, we are sticking with 2017.

R3 Style panel mouseover issue
I just upgraded to R3 and found a bit of an irritant. The Style Panel now has a mouse over that really gets in the way as your scroll down your list of styles and gets in the way. I haven't found a setting for turning it off, has anyone else found one?

New system variables from Flare not recognized by Analyzer
It seems that Analyzer still does not recognize new system variables that were added in the 2017 Flare release, for example: system.linkedheader.
As a matter of fact there have been no updates to Analyzer in 2 years. Makes me wonder if it is going to be phased out.

I'm glad it worked for you Leslie. In my situation conditions make no difference in my case - every single TOC entry is wrong. I hope to hear from Madcap today.

Re: 2017 R2 broke all of my TOCs
ChoccieMuffin: Yes, you can simply enter the text in the Label field. We often have variables in titles and headings, so variables in the label was a god-send for us. We were overjoyed when the feature appeared in the January release. I'm sure it will be fixed, hopefully shortly. I have already subm...

Re: 2017 R2 broke all of my TOCs
Thanks Nita,
I checked my Word and PDF output and there are clean. Thanks, that somewhat eases my concern.
However, my Tripane output does have the broken labels.

2017 R2 broke all of my TOCs
I installed the new R2 release today, and it broke all of my TOCs. I had set them up to use the first Heading of each file. R2 is using random text in the files. I've tried the following entries in Label field: [%=Heading.AnyLevel%] [%=System.LinkedTitle%] [%=System.LinkedHeader%] Is anyone else hav...

Microsoft refers to it as Expand. You can see this in Windows 10 by opening Start and hovering over the icon.

Remove page numbers form ListOf proxies for ePubs
I have figure and table list ListOf proxies in my project. They work fine in out Word and PDF output, but in our ePubs, but due to the responsive nature of ePubs (user control font size, etc.) it doesn't make sense to have static page number listed. I've tried to use the following with a variety of ...

Re: spell check less than useful
Thanks for the replies. I’m using the latest version of Flare 12 (no updates are available). How we are set up: We are using global dictionaries that are stored in a Global project on the network. These are the ones that are linked to in Flare > Options > Spelling tab. The language selected for the ...

Re: Flare 12, GIT, and importing
I'm able to use SourceTree to work in the origin repo. I was able to clone a local copy as well, so I don't think it is a permission or incorrect network reference. I snagged some IT time today, perhaps they can suggest something. Morgan, thanks for the clarification in your note. That cleared some ...

Flare 12, GIT, and importing
We are a multi-author environment and we are trying to setup GIT as our source control, but I have been encountering some issues. I've read a fair number of posts in these forums, but I can't seem to get Git. Our IT rep (who is familiar with CSV, but not Git), set up a network file share with a Git ...

Re: GIT Repository with multiple projects
Thanks Morgan, Perry,
So as I thought, Flare integration wants one repository for each each project. Almost tempted to simply use SourceTree or something, but the integration was a selling point with the other authors.

Using multiple English dictionaries

We have set up targets to define the page size (A4 or US) and the language (English [Australia], En...

GIT Repository with multiple projects
I have read that GIT repositories could contain multiple code projects in them, however I've also read the Flare assumes that each Flare project would have it's own repository.
Can multiple Flare projects be bound to a single GIT repository?

Hello Nita, I work with Brad, the original poster Thanks for your suggestion. We already have the table at 100% and both columns at 50%. Here is the code: <Frame Flow="header" Anchors="Left,Right,Bottom" Right="-0.01041667in" Bottom="882px" X="0px" Y=...

Re: Flare 12 and Word target ignoring table column widths
We are having a similar issue with a table in the header frame of a page layout. No matter how we size the columns the second column ends up being just wide enough for a single letter. <Frame Flow="header" Anchors="Left,Right,Bottom" Right="-0.01041667in" Bottom="8...

Hello, I am using Flare 12 on Windows 10 and I have Office 2013 installed.
