Link to Topics at Runtime and Sync TOC
I am merging at runtime two projects for a WebHelp output. I'd like to add some links from topics in the parent project to the topics in the child project. In my testing I have been able to set up a a successful link from a parent project topic to an child project topic as a link to an external file ...

Re: Getting MadCap Styles to Use Web Fonts
This suggestion got things working for me. I added div.MCBreadcrumbsBox_0 and a.MCDropDownHotSpot_0 to my stylesheet and then and then my custom font starting being used.
Thanks, Dave!

Getting MadCap Styles to Use Web Fonts
I'm starting to implement the use of some licensed web fonts in my project for WebHelp output, and so far I've been able to get them work well for all types of styles except for MadCap styles, specifically MadCap|dropDown Head and MadCap|breadcrumbsProxy.
To get the non-MadCap styles working, I ...

Problems With Resized Images
Our help system is published as a WebHelp on our company website and we are encountering a problem when viewing it from within the hosted environment for our application (which at least a quarter of our users are on), which is on 2003 Terminal Server. In the hosted environment we are using IE 8, and ...

Integrating WebHelp Help System with Global Site Search
We'd like to integrate our new help system with the global site search on our company website, but so far our tests have all been unsuccessful. We have not been able to get our search engine, Coveo, to index the WebHelp topic pages.

Global Project Linking Question
I'm working to convert our existing document set into Flare projects. We have somewhere around 50 documents. I'm thinking I'll keep each individual document as a separate Flare project but then merge them all as one large global project for the final output. I have two questions:
1. Is keeping the ...

Selectively Applying Glossary Links
I know that you can have Flare automatically apply glossary term links to the first instance of a term in a topic or only add the links for terms you have marked manually. My question is, are these choices all one way or all the other? For some terms that are very common I'd like to manually place ...

Re: Topics Not Opening at the Top
Bookmarks seemed to be the issue after all. There were some TOC bookmarks that came over in the Word import. When I deleted them the topics all opened at the top. Thanks for the help!

Topics Not Opening at the Top
Hello,
I'm running into a problem where some of the topics in my project don't open at the top of the page when I open them in a browser (both Firefox and IE). Instead they open with the first few lines scrolled off the page. This isn't happening for all my topics in the project, just some of them ...

Re: Password Protecting Your Help System
I don't. But it's not up to me. This feedback helps, though. Hopefully I can convince the final decision makers that it's not worth the trouble.

Password Protecting Your Help System
Hi all,
Is anyone password protecting your help system in some way when posted on your website? If so, how? I'm new to Flare, but in my research in the help materials and on the forums it looks like the only way to do it is through the server on which you place your help system files, not through ...
