Hi, all. Though my question could fit into a few prior threads, it is at a more general level, so I thought might deserve its own thread.
Background:
> I am designing a workflow for importing legacy WORD docs into an existing Flare project that was originally developed as a WebHelp-output-only ...

Thanks so much for devoting the time to answer my questions on this. I am learning a lot about tables and have a lot more to learn. I appreciate this forum.

Re: Linking to a PDF
Thanks, Roger. The answer about embedding vs hyperllinking is good to know.

On the second question, I was probably not clear. The PDF being referenced is NOT the same PDF as is being created as the Target. It is a PDF of a document that is outside the Flare project and not related to it in any ...

Re: Linking to a PDF
Hi, All. Two questions about this:
1.
I read Dave Lee's post about embedding PDFs in Help topics with interest. I followed the link to the Adobe blog article on this, which was even more intriguing. But I am not clear on what the differences are (pros/cons for diff purposes) between using a simple ...

Re: Using Flare to produce a printed manual
Make sure you collapse the border, too, via the Table Properties. If you set spacing or padding in the table and didn't collapse the cells, then you'll see a gap between the cells. The outside borders are set on the table tag, the inside borders are set on the td or th tag (normal cell or header ...

Re: Using Flare to produce a printed manual
Lisa, Thanks for that quick reply! I'll get to work on those fixes right away, but just wanted to fire off a thanks. I like your epigram about the loose nut. Now I know I am in the right forum.

Using Flare to produce a printed manual
Hi, All. I need the benefit of your "Collective Conscious," (Jung can keep the Collective Unconscious.)
Background:
I'm doing a pilot project to prove the feasibility of (and scope the work required to move to) single sourcing from Flare to WebHelp and PDF. The group I am working with were already ...

Re: Mapping list styles for imported Word content
I am just now hitting this issue in my attempt to design the "least inefficient" import of legacy WORD docs into Flare. I know very little about CSS, but I was wondering, if you knew how to write the desired list structures and elements directly in your CSS file, then during the import process ...

Mapping to stylesheet styles vs to MS Word Styles
Hi, all. My question concerns style mapping. (It'll take a bit of background to set the table for the actual question, so your forebearance is appreciated.)
