Re: conditons required to keep from publishing topics

I'm completely open to suggestions, so let me explain our writing process and see what others can come up with.

We have three types of projects:
Global import projects: These contain the graphics that are shared amongst our many projects.

Guides: These contain our product guides. We have single ...

Re: conditons required to keep from publishing topics

Cayennp,

I feel like I am in the same boat as you. I would like an option in a Flare target to only use the topics linked in the TOC when building the help system. This would save my team many hours of setting conditions throughout our development iterations. If Flare gave us the ability to only ...

Re: Getting a lot of "Missing Bookmark" errors through madbuild

Take a look at the topic just above the error message, that is where the error is occurring.

For example, in my error log I would see:

Processing topic: 1_OnlineCoverPage.htm
C:\Users\Desktop\Conversions\\Content\1_OnlineCoverPage.htm: Missing linked source file: C:\Users\Desktop\Conversions ...

Re: Subversion - To Plug-In or Not to Plug-In

My documentation team also uses Tortoise SVN with Flare. We have 20 doc writers with 80+ guides and release deliverables. We are in Agile development with 3 major releases and 4 minor releases a year.

We are in the process of converting from FrameMaker 7.2 to Flare 6.1. We have moved all of our ...

Re: "Format auto-number commands can not be converted"

Also need to add:

Content is coming from a FrameMaker import. Frame 7.2 to Flare 6.1 on a Windows 7 PC.

Sorry I didn't specify in the previous message.

"Format auto-number commands can not be converted"

When I attempt to build a Word or FrameMaker target I receive the following error:
Warning: Format auto-number commands can not be converted in FrameMaker output. Formatting of autonumbers should be done through the mc-auto-number-class. See the help for more information.
: The given path's format ...

Re: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Thank you for your reply's lacastle. This book is 500 pages long. I tried removing one chapter at a time but the process would still abort. I received the download link for Madcap 5, and version 5 imported the guide just fine. It is very frustrating that Flare deletes all the progress in the import ...

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Hello!

I did a search in the importing forum and did not find the results I am looking for. I'm importing a book from FrameMaker 7.2 to Flare 6.1.

It appears to get to the very end of the import and fails. Here is the error message:
