Hello Forum,
is there a reseller of Madcap products in the Netherlands.
Until a year ago it was the company PDS.
But now I have to contact/discuss with Madscap USA. Due to timezone difference, this it quite a problem.

It seems that building over the network was the problem.
When the project was stored local (harddrive/SSD) it build well.

suddenly building my DotNetHelp target project stops with an error.
Error doesn't give mutch information.

building Word or PDF doesn't results in this ID message.

Anybody an idea what's the problem?

programmers asked me if it is possible to show the -cshid identifier in the topic which is connected to it.
For example, the help file is called with:

HelpViewer.exe -file [path to help system] -cshid [identifier] -search [search_string]
HelpViewer.exe -NL_Manual -1000 (no search string ...

I contacted MC support and its solved now.
MC sollution was:

till now I use dotnethelp as target.
but for translation purposes I would like to have my project on paper, so I changed target to Word.
now building the target results in error 10086
(see attached pics also)
please help me with this one.

in the Content explorer > Resources > MasterPage.flmsp I deleted the "topic mini TOC proxy".

creating multiple masterpages isn't a sollution for me.
So still need an answer to my problem.
Somehow I think it's something in the stylesheets, but I can't find it.

I like to suppress the mini TOC at the bottom of (each) (a) topic

I don't need this mini TOC because I have the full (master) TOC in the right pane

The tag in the target doesn't refer to IE11, is adding this version to the tag (eg. "IE=7,8,9,10 , 11 ...

I have a problem with using .avi movies in my DotNetHelp.
Using the insert Multimedia menu and selecting to insert an .avi file it will not start in the target.
Building the target doesn't generate an error.
The 'picture' which is the .avi is all black and says: "Error: unsupported ...

I had to hack the source code.
Using the Find option I found the broken link.
What I don't understand is that

I deleted an old image1 (inclusive links) and
I add a new image2 (and made new links)

in the source code I find code for both images (1 and 2). Thats why the old (broken) link ...

I renamed the file "imssystprogoptionsprint.htm", I don't have the Analyzer program and so I can't find the broken link.
even by your advizes I can't find it :(
It's a warning and so it will not effect the target HTML.
Maybe when I'm standing before delivery of the final ...

after renaming a topic and forgotten to click [update the links] in the project,
building wil always result in errormassages (warnings).
when I view all links to/from that renamed topic I see (see attachment, blue box) the broken link
but how do I get it removed?

Only, how can I get rid of the text "My Shortcut" which is automatically place in front of the image?

Second, instead of starting the complete manual.chm, using the methode above, can I start a specific topic in the manual.chm?

I took the projects home and trying it on my privat laptop. Because the users name is differend then at my office the target sets itself to webhelp.
I put it back to html and .............
it works.

This is what I did:

In the project open Styles.css
Right-click MadCap|Shortcut and select Add Class
I named it English
From the new class properties I select:
mc_image and browse and select the image
mc_label and enter: ‘ ‘:)

In the topic I select the image and trough Insert>Help ...

I build next language projects to html help files:
Manual-NL.flprj -> Manual-NL.chm
Manual-GB.flprj -> Manual-GB.chm
Manual-DE.flprj -> Manual-DE.chm
etc.

I build one global project to html help file:
Portal.flprj -> Portal.chm ...

I didn't know that but to view my HTML Help I use no internet browser.
On a computer platform (XP) the .chm file is started within the default Windows explorer.

maybe I didn't explane to well last time but I'm facing next problem:

is it possible to change the Popup Window style so that ratio length / width of the popup window is set to the contents ratio length / width?
It seems that this works for text as contents, but what if I only want to popup an ...

thanx for the input but my problem occurs with HTML Help not WebHelp.
It doesn't disturb the performance but it looks rather funny.
It would be nicer when it doesn't appear.
