I hate to disable potentially useful features, so I'm going to try setting the Maximum word count from "30" to "10" and see how that works for us. Thanks!

Re: Flare running very slow after v4 install
If I disable collecting phrases, I still keep the functionality found under View > Project Analysis, correct? I'd like to have to option to keep the functionality involved with "Collecting Phrases." With that in mind I'm trying to figure out how low I can go with the Maximum word count for phrases ...

Re: Flare running very slow after v4 install
I just found a Help topic for Improving Analyzer Scan Performance. My question after reading that topic is are there any recommendations to adjust the performance so I can work in Flare without delays but still get the most out of the Analyzer piece.
Thanks!
Jeff

Flare running very slow after v4 install
Since I installed v4 yesterday afternoon, Flare is running very slow on my computer. I have noticed that an advanced scan which I assume is related to the Analyzer integration starts running automatically. Not only does this scan take a while to actuallycomplete (in fact I haven't seen it complete ...

Posting WebHelp on a website
I want to be able to have a link on our client website that launches our Help. I guess similar to what MadCap's Support site has with the Help for Flare except instead of selecteing a choice from a drop-down, I want the client to just click a link. Can I do this? What needs to be done for it to work ...

Topic Title in Help Control Link
My understanding has always been that the title for a topic that appeared in a Help Control Link (Concept, Related Topic, etc.) came from the Topic Title field on the Topic Properties tab of the Properties dialog. I found an instance yesterday where the topic title in a Concept Link was pulling from ...

Re: Index Explorers not matching
Something else that the writer who isn't seeing something that should be there in her index explorer just told me is that when she opens her project in Flare the Updating Global Index dialog sometimes goes for an hour or so.

Re: WebHelp Opening Blank on 2 machines
I have an issue similar to this one that's popping up. We are just rolling out WebHelp for our Application Help replacing HTML Help. What basic Internet Options settings should I look at when users report problems viewing the Help. Just for background if it helps, the Help files reside on the client ...

I followed the instruction someone posted in another topic from MadCap Support. I want to be able to click on a hyperlink to a movie and have it come up in it's own custom size browser. The instruction from the other post is pasted below:

That seemed to do the trick. Any idea why that may have worked? Well, now with that said I just compared the old and new files and I see a chunk of code near the beginning of the old file that is not in the new one.

Re: Topic Doesn't Display in WebHelp Output
This particular topic isn't any different than any of the others we have. It is linked properly in the TOC. I can bring the topic up in Flare in the XML Editor without a problem. I cannot say with 100% certainty that it was visible in the WebHelp output before, but this is the first time it has been ...

Re: Problem displaying WebHelp on thin client
The only way we were able to resolve the issue we were having was to enable "Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe" in Internet Options on the Security tab under Internet. I just wanted to pass that along in case it may help anybody else in the future.

Video Sound in WebHelp Output
Does anybody know how to get the sound for a Captivate-generated video to work on a computer running in a thin client environment? I realize this is not what I see as a Flare issue, but I didn't know if anybody had ever encountered my problem.
