Speckled CSS Entries
Hello,
Using Flare 10 and a bit annoyed with the speckled overlay of the CSS entries. Why are they displayed that way and is there a way to get rid or change it?
Thank you.

John, does that work if there are callouts in the image?
Hi Tom,
You can add callouts initially, but after you save them, you cannot edit them as they become flattened. I wish there was a better way for it to handle vector images, but there is not.

Re: Project Help for a Newbie!!
Welcome to the forums and to Flare! An awesome tool for documentation. Dave is correct in that you would be better off having separation for each manual. Tips include being mindful of the components and how they work together. This can be overwhelming at first and difficult to keep track of, however ...

Re: Capture or Snagit.
I like to use SnagIT. If I need to make a change, I simply right click on the image file and select open in SnagIT Editor. I make the changes and click the save button and it updates in Flare.

I am as well. It is intermittent. However, I click on a toolbar button and it seems to help without shutting down and restarting.

Re: Anybody using Flare with DITA?
I have found that Flare is a bit more flexible than DITA. The usage of SNippets as well as tag assignment and the Relationship Table has proven to be quite powerful on my projects. Creating a customize entry for the relationship table can color outside the lines that DITA is constrained by. In the ...

Following an entire system
Is there a way to follow a system? Part of our jobs at the TechComm team are to help answer questions. I do not think I should have to follow each individual topic to get a notification when someone asks a question on Pulse? If there is no way to do that, then this is a huge gaping whole. SME's are ...

Searching Content outside of the webhelp output..SharePoint?
We are going to implement our new SharePoint based (customized) intranet. Is there a way to include search functions to include sharepoint sites? or other CMS sites?
Has anyone done this?
Thank you.

Re: Padding for the SKINS
Doesn't look like you can do it through the GUI, but you can by modifying one of the files in the output. (This is for HTML5 output -- you can probably do something similar for WebHelp output.)

Re: Padding for the SKINS
I would like to make the strip of the dark blue and light blue larger (20px) and the white topic from the light blue. I can do the topic content, but the topic container that houses the toolbar is not as easy.
Thanks again for the response.

Thank you Lisa. I cannot find the code for topic.container. Shown below in the skin editor is the frame component I am speaking of.
I opened the Skin in the text editor and found some CSS markup. I tried adding some padding to the style, but it does not seem to be working.

Hello,
I am trying to adjust the padding for the skin & page so I have a layered effect. I am not finding this option in the CSS editor. Can someone assist. Below is a screenshot to clarify.

Re: Thumbnails Freeze and Overlap
My experience with the onClick Thumbnail control is that you have to click on the enalarged image again to shrink it before opening another. Perhaps this is just a limitation of the output...?

Re: What benefits are you getting from Feedback Server?
The real benefit for my usage was to provide a staging (dev environment) for our agile teams to review content as it occurs. This helps in the SDLC for documentation not to be a last minute item that is rushed.

I have deleted the SVN, the Analyzer and the Source Control folder. I see very little improvement in speed when checking out a topic. It still runs down the list of Content files and then checks out the topic.

Is there a wasy to have an External Resource in a subversion repository? I have tried using the URL to the subversion site, like the Source Binding, however, it will not take it.
