Launching help via javascript from external domain
I'd like to link to a webhelp system (on our web server) from a customer's site, using javascript, so I can control the appearance of the browser window (i.e. deactivate default browser settings like toolbars, address bar etc.)
Apparently this involves launching using some javascript that Flare ...

Re: TOC syncing to the wrong topic for duplicated TOC entries
I did go with snippets in the end. It's made the search results & the indexing a bit confusing, but I guess there's no way around that. Thanks for the tips guys

Re: Table page break in PDF output
Lisa, thanks for the tip but the table is about 2.5 pages long, trying to fit it on 1 page isn't what I want to do. Flare is breaking the table anyway, because it has to, but it insists on pushing it to the next page first. I think it's just missing some smarts when it comes to its page breaking ...

Re: Table page break in PDF output
Andrew, I think you misunderstood the problem. I'm getting the same thing - I have an orphaned heading because my table is longer than 1 page, so the table is being pushed onto the next page, leaving a blank page under the heading.
I would rather the table started directly after the heading, and ...

Does anyone know how to do this? I'd like 1 at the top left and one at the top right, linking to different targets.

Link TOC entries to another help system without merging
Is there a way to link a toc entry to another help system, i.e. by specifying a URL, without actually merging the content?

Prevent wrapping on underscore in tables
I've got some table that contain xml configuration examples. Some of these example contain underscore characters (e.g. CLOCK_SYNCMODE_SCLK_IN).
Flare is wrapping these inside tables in the pdf output.
Does anyone know how I could prevent this from happening?
I've tried using white-space: nowrap ...

So in my skin I would change:

<Property
Name="OnClick">window.open("http://www.audinate.com");</Property>

File formats for vector/raster images in PDF
I have some photographs of circuit boards, which I've dropped into Illustrator as pngs, and labelled using vector arrows & text etc.

Re: TOC syncing to the wrong topic for duplicated TOC entries
Thanks - unfortunately when they navigate to a search result that appears in more than 1 place, they'll more than likely find themselves in the wrong section, which would throw off their context & would be confusing. No way around that though I guess...

Re: Some xrefs not rendering in output
Yep that's fixed it, thanks very much.
I was doing it manually, and I didn't see the 'do not use spaces' note (probably due to aforementioned hangover) but yes I think it's slightly bizarre that Flare haven't tweaked that dialog to reject spaces.
But I'm up & running now anyway.

Re: Some xrefs not rendering in output
note - it shows fine in the editor (Table 1 shows power, ground and reset pins available on the module connector.)
this is the css for the xref:
MadCap|xref.caption
{
color: #cc0033;
mc-format: '{paranumonly}';
}

Some xrefs not rendering in output
I have inserted xrefs to autonumbered table and image captions, using:
1. insert bookmark at end of target para
2. insert xref with mc-format {paranumonly} linked to the relevant bookmark
In some cases they are showing in the output (webhelp & pdf), some cases not (in either output).

Some of both. I know I could make a list bullet using a link icon, but sometimes the links are inline.

Add icon to hyperlinks
Anyone know how to add an icon to a hyperlink style?
I've created a new class for <a> and added a background image, but it's not showing. is this because it's an inline element?

Re: Resources folder not lowercase in css links
It appears it corrects the tablestyles css link, but not the main stylesheet link:
<link href="resources/tablestyles/audinatetables1.css" rel="stylesheet" />
<link href="SkinSupport/MadCap.css" rel="stylesheet" />
<link href="Resources/stylesheets/audinate1.css" rel="stylesheet" />
