Hi,
I created an autonumber format for a p.fig style (Figure {n+} ).
I've applied the p.fig style to the captions of my figures in several topics.
When I generate PDF output, the autonumbering starts over in each topic (e.g., Topic 1 has figures 1 and 2, Topic 2 has figures 1 and 2 instead of ...

Re: Adding text to header in a page layout
Thank you! My content was indeed too large to display in the frame.

Adding text to header in a page layout
Hi,
I'm working with a page layout based on Flare's Normal template.
I'm trying to add text to the header. Here's what I'm doing:
1. Opening NewPageLayout.flpgl
2. Selecting the header.
3. Clicking F2
4. Typing and formatting text with styles in the Frame Contents Editor that appears at the bottom ...

Re: Two column layout in PDF
Success!
In my page layout, I had drawn two new body frames (left and right) *on top of* the original body frame. No wonder content was spanning!
When I removed body frame 1 (the original body frame) so that just body frames 2 and 3 (left and right) remained, the content in my topics flowed from ...

Re: Two column layout in PDF
Thanks for all your help.
I'll have to check to see if it's ok to post screenshots, but here's what I'm working with:
-11 topics arranged in a TOC, which is applied to a MyPDF target. Topics were created via copy/paste from FrameMaker 10. Very few tags/styles involved--p, ol, ul, li, img, h1, h2 ...

Re: Two column layout in PDF
Hi Lisa,
We were just playing with that--they were not set to Always, although we've set them to Auto now and most (but not all) of the content appears in columns, but it overlaps, so one topic appears "behind" another.

Re: Two column layout in PDF
Thank you, Laura!
I did draw two frames on both my left and right page layout pages, and I do see the arrow connecting the frames. Help says:
"If you have drawn two frames of the same type on a page (e.g., two body frames) an arrow connects the frames, showing the direction that content flows from ...

Two column layout in PDF
Hi,
I have a small Flare project (11 topics) that I want to output to a two-column PDF file.
I've set up a Page Layout file to which I've applied two columns in the body frame. I've created a TOC with my topics in the order I'd like them to appear in the PDF, and I've assigned my Page Layout file ...
