Re: Disable XHTML Validation
I'm going to ignore the fact that my needs are irrelevant long enough to say this: Why would Flare lock me into an aging XHTML paradigm when HTML5 and SEO--something that Flare purports to support--have markup that is not only unrecognized (ignored), but unsupported (can't assign a <nav> or <article ...

Disable XHTML Validation
Yep--I need to disable it. Does anyone know how to do this?
If you're reply involves admonishing me not to deviate from the "standard", save it. I need this to happen.

Re: Flare Complains about Code to Embed Video
Yeah, I deleted it because my hubris outstripped my good sense for a moment.
The key was in fact to do with the problem of XHTML validity; the tool you linked to worked wonderfully, but I did not use it until I had examined the syntax requirements of the elements under scrutiny.

Re: Flare Complains about Code to Embed Video
A couple quick clarifications:
* The code is copied directly from the YouTube video (click the Share link below the video, and then click Embed ).
* HTML is not case sensitive (unless something has changed recently), so allowFullScreen is functionally equivalent to allowfullscreen (however, most ...

Flare Complains about Code to Embed Video
Hey again, folks. Today I'm testing multimedia in Flare 10.
Flare seems to have difficulty with the code used to embed (for example) a YouTube video. I used both the <iframe> and <object> methods of embedding media, but Flare complain about both with the same basic error:

Re: After Importing Project, Flare Slow to Populate Folders
Hey folks,
This really seems to be independent of source control. After Flare has received the project files from source control, they exist locally. When I open a folder in the Content Manager, the display populates using local information and not source control, but still the delay persists.

After Importing Project, Flare Slow to Populate Folders
Hey folks,

Forum Search Function is Worthless
Nearly every word I enter is ignored as being too common.
No wonder there are so many topics in this forum--every problem requires a new topic because it's so difficult to find anything.

Reset Ugly In-line XML Code Flow to Nice, Nested Flow
Hey folks,
When I went into the XML editor of one of my topics, I found the text flow to be a mess. Let me demonstrate what I mean.
What normally looks like this:
<table>
<tr>
<td>Data</td>
<td>Data</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Data</td>
<td>Data</td>
</tr>
</table>

"{Path} Is Already a Working Copy" Error
Hey folks,
I just upgraded form v9 to v10 and, although I don't think the upgrade is the issue, I'm including the info in case it is.
When I tried to bind my project to source control, I received the message, " 'C:\...path...' is already a working copy for a different URL". Does anyone know how I ...

I am hearing for non-authoritative sources that the no-result/persistent-spinner problem is resolved in Flare 10. I'll be testing this next week most likely.

HTML5 Search Returns No Results; Spinner Persists
Hey everyone,
We are encountering a bit of a problem when using the Search feature within the HTML5 output. This is a persistent problem, but not a consistent one, though; most of the time it's fine, but sometimes (often on a consistent term, such as "CAPWAP") it will fail in the manner detailed ...

Re: Flare 9.1 is an Error Factory
Many of my friends are still actively programming, and I rail on them all the time about the shoddy code that devs turnout as a symptom of the "Rapid Application Development" paradigm. RAD is the cancer of development world, and buggy, half-ass code is the tumor, and is allowed to be released for ...

Flare 9.1 is an Error Factory
Since the release of Flare 9 (plus relevant updates), I've seen more problems with various actions throwing dotNet (and other framework) exceptions. I hate to be an armchair quarterback here (especially since I've only ever programmed in Assembly, and that was 20 years ago), but the first rule is to ...

Re: When will Flare support PHP?
The subtext seems to be either that Flare devs do not lurk the forum, or that they don't realize web technology has progressed beyond JavaScript.

When will Flare support PHP?
It would be amazing if Flare would render PHP, even if we had to install *AMP on our machines. This lack of support forces me to do so many things manually that I could otherwise automate, that I spend more time fiddling with minutiae than I do creating content.
