Re: TopNav - SearchResultsProxy
Sorry Dave for not being clear. What I mean by using the Topic MasterPage is that I want the results to appear like a topic (which is assigned the Topic MasterPage in the Properties ). And you're correct, Help has in bold red letters not to insert the SearchResultsProxy into a MasterPage (and I ...

TopNav - SearchResultsProxy
I'm trying to display search results using my Topic MasterPage . If I use just the SearchBarProxy without the results proxy the Default MasterPage is used to display the results. If I follow Flare's Help instructions and add a topic with the SearchResultsProxy , the home page displays instead of the ...

Re: hexadecimal value 0x00 is an invalid
I just got something similar to that the other day. You may have a unicode value of 0x00 (which I think means "NULL") somewhere in the XML syntax. Try searching the project for that character string.

Re: Modify Top Nav Bar advanced styles
In the first image, I had a project where I needed to remove those chevrons (actually, they're called Right Pointing Guillemets). So (using Dave's tip) I discovered it was the following style, added to my CSS, which overrides the style where it come from (.../Skins/Fluid/Stylesheets/Styles.css) and ...

Re: New Flare user to attempt help for app ... needs help
App Help 1 shows the main page I will need to create. As you can see, there are only five links here. But I have no idea how to make these links show boxes around them like they are buttons.
This setting is accessed in the Skin Editor > Styles. click Navigation Element and set the Border ...

Re: Translate Project by MemoryDatabase
I'm not exactly clear on what you're asking. Translation Memory is a database of segments, or phrases you have already translated. If the phrase happens to come up again in another project, the translation is displayed in the TM Suggestions pane.

Re: Updating translations into existing Flare content
When you have updated translations, the existing project becomes obsolete with the updated project taking it's place. Since you're familiar with SVN, think of the old project as a tag and the new project as a branch.

I don't know what happened to the last few posts on this thread, but I found that you can use soft returns (Shift+Enter) within the p.Note style tags to accomplish what you are after.

Re: Extending a style across multiple paragraphs
Make a copy of the p.Note style and change it to div.Note . I haven't figured out how to add div's in the XML Editor yet, so I always do it in the Text Editor :
<div class="Note">
<p>paragraph 1</p>
<p>paragraph 2</p>
<p>paragraph 3</p>
<p>paragraph 4</p>
<p>paragraph 5</p>
<p>paragraph 6</p ...
<div class="Note">
<p>paragraph 1</p>
<p>paragraph 2</p>
<p>paragraph 3</p>
<p>paragraph 4</p>
<p>paragraph 5</p>
<p>paragraph 6</p ...

Re: Error: Invalid line-height
My guess is that you have a line-height property with an invalid setting in your stylesheet. Try opening the CSS in NotePad (from the context menu) and searching for "line-height" to check them all.

Re: Top Nav formatting
The first thing I see is that some of the <li>'s have nested <p> tags. I'd remove them to see if that helps, because the list items that don't have nested paragraphs appear to be fine. The easiest way to remove them is to right-click the block on the left side of the XML Editor and select Unbind ...

I've never tested this in my translated projects, but I'm guessing it's the Language setting of the Project Properties.

Re: Top Nav Header logo on OtherTopics
Same here, I really don't want to go back and re-code two Masterpages that are working exactly as I want them to. I also had the menu to contend with. The home and section pages have a white logo and menu labels with a tinted photo background. The topic page has a white background. I'll probably ...

Re: Top Nav Header logo on OtherTopics
Thanks for posting, you just solved a big problem for me. The mockup I'm working from calls for a different color logo on topic pages and I couldn't figure out how to do that. Now I can use your code to omit the top nav from the topic pages and should be able to replace it with a div.

I'm bumping this thread because I'm having some issues with Google Fonts not displaying on a secured server (HTTPS). I'm using the following method, only I added the code to the CSS using NotePad and it carries through to the output.

Because Microsoft is phasing out Internet Explorer for Edge....
...after spending now weeks testing Edge I come to the conclusion that it is the same as IE11, it behaves the same and has the same flaws and bugs, plus plenty more stuff that is broken.
The phrase, "Lipstick on a pig" comes to mind.

Re: Generate PDF On Demand?
Perhaps the biggest adjustment for me using Flare was, and sometimes still is, the whole Medium concept. But once you get the hang of it, setting styles for different outputs is just part of the job. I don't know your audience, but I don't think that would fly with mine.

Re: Printed Documentation
The short answer is to Insert the proxy into a blank topic. Use the p.TOC styles of your CSS to determine which heading styles are included.
