Sorry if this has been covered already, but I tried Search several times only to be informed that my key words are too common.
I've noticed, and been somewhat frustrated by, my tables being partially blank when I have the tags on. Is this expected, a bug, user error?

Re: Text indented in bullet list
Thanks. Actually, I've not used DIVs in Flare before (I have messed about with them briefly in web editors). How do I apply the DIV to the text between <li>s? Do I have to do that in the text editor or is there a more user-friendly way?

Re: Text indented in bullet list
I think you can just use a <div> nested in the <li>, which you may have to do in the Text Editor . If not, set up a <div> sub-style and set the indent accordingly, but a plain <div> should do what you're after. You probably know how, but just in case:

Re: Print selected frame only
Weird, mine doesn't print the nav container, just the topic. But you can try this...
Go to the Skin Editor > WebHelp Toolbar and click the Edit button for the Custom JavaScript window. Then paste this code in:
function framePrint(whichFrame){
parent[whichFrame].focus();

Re: Cannot see all styles - I want a full Paragraph Catalog!
Except that the Style Picker (Ctrl+Shift+H) goes away on its own after you make your selection and press Enter. The Styles window (F12), on the other hand, must be manually closed to regain the real estate that it has grabbed.

It is frustrating. But the way I see it, I consider Product Support to be one of my main customers (and they know I feel that way).
If they can answer a call by pointing to a location in the Help, everyone is happy.
Does that help?

Re: help with indented bullets
Another option is to comment-out styles instead of setting them to zero. Take everything out relating to lists and follow LTinker68's advice by removing the comments of each style systematically. I would start with the <ul> and <ol> styles and leave the <li> related styles for last. If you're ...

Re: help with indented bullets
I'm looking at some of my code where I have nested bullet lists and I noticed my stylesheet doesn't have margin-left values:
<ul>
<li value="1">Some really awesome text.</li>
<li value="2">The following features have been added:

Re: Generating specific URLs for each help topic
Are you referring to context-sensitive cross-references? I have one of my projects set up so Help opens to the corresponding topic for what ever screen the user is on when they click the Help icon. I had to generate a Header File for the project, then an Alias File (which took all of five minutes ...

You can also turn off the tags in your editor pane, or switch to text editor and use HTML character codes: comes out as <b>test</b>.
Code: Select all
