We use subversion for source control. We use Flare 8.1.
I bound a project to source control. Another writer imported the same project from source control. (project is MCal_content)
If we use the SVNUpdate command on the parent folder,

Flare + SVN: Local Repository instantly wiped out!
We are using:
- Win 7 Laptops

- 4 occurances: on 2 different laptops
On 4 occasions, we have lost our local SVN repository in the blink of an eye. It often happens when another error occurs, such as PuTTY or a network error. Once you click OK, you ...

Re: Cross-references won't update
From MadCap tech support:
Yes, as you have noted, if you make a change in the cross-reference format in the stylesheet, it does not automatically update it on the topic in the XML Editor. If Flare were to do this, it would need to write the changes to every topic that is using the cross-reference ...

Re: Cross-references won't update
I am in ver 8.1 and just stumbled across this undocumented feature. I will report it as a bug.
If we right-click the link, select Edit, and then just click OK, the link updates within the topic. Still, I would expect this to correct itself in the xml editor since the output is updated.

This is a known issue, bug #54585 submitted
From MadCap support:
As soon as the Refresh button is clicked or allow Flare to do a Refresh on the Source Control - It loses the file is an "Add". You have to use SVN to perform the add so Flare will see that its part of the project and in Source Control.

Re: Disappearing files w. SVN
We have been experiencing this same sort of problem. In essence, if you don't do your subversion action right away, you end up with problems that you can only resolve by using the native Subversion commands in windows explorer. I will report this as a bug as well.

HELP! TFS vs. OpenText Document Management System
Hello,
I am implementing Flare as a pilot project in a very large, complex corporate environment. I've been chasing my tail trying to get our content under source control. I want to implement TFS, which the developers are using. A separate, yet powerful group, is implementing OpenText, which is a ...

Embedding interactive 3D CAD
I write service documentation and I'm doing a pilot project using Flare. I am getting significant pressure to embed interactive 3D CAD files into the webhelp. I believe I may be able to do this using Mimic. Does anybody have any experience doing this? Can it be done?
Thanks,
~ Penthesilea
