Re: Source Code Formatting Puzzle
Hello kwag_myers. I may have solved your puzzle. I believe the issue (which I can recreate given your example) has to do with the fact that Flare's text editor expects and to some extent requires that your data be of an XML format. That is not the case with Notepad ++ which in that case you may ...

Re: Path is hidden or is with in a folder that is hidden
jaredgreen139, you have posted tis thread in the source control portion of the forum, but you have not indicated if in fact the project is connected to source control and what type of source control. The error (image) appears to indicate a UNC network path and the "e$" would in fact indicate the ...

Yes btompkins, there is a way around your predicament. 8) I've found a way whereby the search can be "fooled"
Note that the search engine does consider html tags, and you can use this to your advantage.

Re: Question about Snippets, Conditions, and Togglers
Hi Joanne –
If you have more than one toggler with the same content and view the topic in Preview mode, the preview only displays the content once. For example if you have a snippet with the text “hello world”, name the snippet, insert two togglers and assign each to the named target, once you open ...

Re: Creating a folder containing only new / changed files
And I'll chime in with yet another potential complication. Source control.
If you have multiple authors and use TFS and perhaps other source controls, the modified date of a file as seen by windows takes on the workspace modified date of the particular author. The dates can differ from one author ...

Re: Using Flare 11 and 12 in one team
In a very general sense, using versions 11 and 12 to open and build the same project will be fine. There is nothing that absolutely prohibits using both versions. I do.
Inevitably there will be certain minor issues, but even then you should be able to work around them. My recommendation is to be ...

Re: Global Project Linking vs Conditions
You can use either solution or a combination of both. I think that just using conditions is optimum because you can deal with just one project. In my case I use both approaches but only because some help projects I inherited when I started the position. If I was building from scratch I would only ...

Re: Managing Hyperlinks across projects
At the project source file level or the output? Can't imagine why you would need/want to do that at the project level. I think either way though you would need the URL or UNC path to the file and insert that data in the file you intend to open it from.

DougieChimes, as you state you are (paraphrasing) compelled to use top nav with all the levels you currently have, and because we are talking about 3000 some odd lines, I have another suggestion that at least theoretically will help, but to what degree remains to be seen.

Re: Reducing Output Project/File Size
Hi DougieChimes. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "each .htm file generated contains the entire project dropdown menu".
In any case, just because 90% of the html content may be the same, that may not account for the overall size being larger than it otherwise would need to be. For instance ...

Hi Tanya. I'm not entirely sure specifically what the cause of your TFS/Flare issue is, however, here are some things you can try. There is no particular order to this list and any one of these suggestions may help resolve it. Something else to keep in mind as I've posted on this forum over-and-over ...

You're welcome Nerdycreative. In answer to your question, adding publish information in the target would have nothing to do with print functionality.
As a side note, you may want to update your no cache code to include the following:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="43200" />

Re: Print button stopped working - how to solve?
you could create a custom button and define an "event" with javascript "window.print();" but I would be surprised if you needed to go that route. The print button is built-in functionality in an html skin. of course you have to select it to be available, but if it is, it should work. Have you tried ...

Re: Painfully slow rendering of the Preview window
yeah I've noticed that occasionally the preview can take a while to render. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme-or-reason but what I do which often works is immediately close the window if the display is not rendered in a second or so and then click to preview once more. Granted one shouldn't have ...

File menu > Options has a number of program wide settings. I realize the example you provided (px to cm) is not within file options. In my case if I switch from either px to cm or vice versa that setting is retained, and I'm guessing Flare is storing the data is some kind of config file in the ...

Re: Adding custom folders to HTML5 output

However, you can create a destination file that send the entire output to a specified folder. My suggestion would be ...

ChrisBradley, that's unnerving to read  as my organization does plan a win 10 upgrade in the near future. I'm on 8.1 now. I installed Flare 12 on my home PC which is Win 10 and it "works", however, that PC is otherwise not resource intensive enough to run Flare properly (even V10 or 11), so I ...
