Re: Column width issue driving me bananas
I, too, have ongoing struggles with table column widths. In your case, are they actually two different tables? I ask because, in the screen shot, it appears they're connected. I know that in my own experience, if I add a table right after another, Flare sometimes combines them into a single table. I ...

Re: Ok to apply condition to snippet, then again inside a to
It sounds like you may want to take a look at Snippet Conditions. Once I got the hang of them, I started using them extensively. They're extraordinarily useful.

Did you ever resolve this issue? Or does anyone know if it's fixed in 2019r2? I'm using 2019 (not r2) and I'm running into a similar problem with TFS.

Re: Are Dropdowns Annoying?
Personally, I would find it annoying to have every field as a dropdown, but I do feel the same as you that the page can become extra long otherwise. I tend to put all of the field descriptions in a single dropdown. My current project contains a lot of reports that display in a grid. Each field is a ...

Re: Send for Review Multiple Topics at once
When you click the Send for Review button, Flare should open the Send Files For Review Wizard . The Wizard displays a list of your topics so you can select files using the typical methods (click, ctrl+click, and shift+click). Also, there's an Add Files button (green plus-sign].

Re: Description on homepage disappears at a certain size?
When you inspect the page at the smaller size, can you find the text? For example, is it shifted off to the side or hidden under a graphic? If you select the text in the HTML (text editor) it should highlight on the rendered page. You should also see the CSS being applied to it in the CSS panel ...

Nah. I was hoping for a quick and easy way to see it all on a printed page, particularly conditional text. I use "NO-Build" and "Writer's Note" conditions to add notes to the documentation and various components, like snippets. Both conditions are excluded from outputs ("Writers Note" is included in ...

Thanks ChoccieMuffin. That works great for printing the markup text but I'm looking for a way to print the page as rendered in the editor, which shows the fonts, layout, graphics and so on.

Print file from the XML editor?
Hi all,
Does anyone know how to print the "raw," uncompiled/unbuilt content from the XML editor? I tried clicking the tab in the XML Editor and then selecting File>Print from the menu, but I got some odd output. The printer spit out a bulleted "All Files" line and what looked like a text box ...

Re: Turn off word highlighting in search
It sounds like you're using HTML5 Tripane output, which has default colors to highlight search results. In the HTML5 Tripane output, you can set this value in the skin editor, with the Search Highlight style under the Search Results section.

Also, I forgot to mention that you can add a Menu Skin to the project, if you want, and then assign that skin to your menu proxy. That gives you extra options to style it the way you like.

Re: Mini-TOC Behavior
I know this is counter-intuitive, but try inserting a Menu Proxy instead of a mini-TOC. When you configure the menu proxy, it will give you the option of building it from a TOC, browse sequence, or headings . Use the headings option and it should do what you're looking for.

Re: Is there a way to limit the background of a heading?
Yes, you would add that to the style where you want that behavior. However, if you have several h1 styles (e.g. h1.toc, h1.topic, h1.ref) but you want that behavior for all of them, then add it to the base h1 element style and it wil "cascade" to the others.

CAVEAT : I use fixed values to place the search bar on my home page, so I haven't tried this myself. My suggestions here are based solely on other centering experiences. Also, I am not a CSS expert; I just know enoough to be dangerous.

Awesome! Can you share what you did with the forum, in case someone else encounters the same issue down the road and comes here looking for a solution? I'd bet good money many folks aren't familiar with a web.config file or what it does or how it could solve the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply, Mike. In the Text Editor, do you replace the empty p tag with the script tag, or do you wrap the script tag inside the p tag?
