Re: Last topic content in TOC does not print in PDF output
Yes, I've tried that and other arrangements. It's always the last page in the documentation before the back cover page that does not print in the output. Strangest thing I've seen to date in Flare.

Re: Last topic content in TOC does not print in PDF output
Thanks for the feedback. Conditions tags are not the problem anywhere in this particular topic, target, etc. The last topic page does now print. Adding an empty page does not resolve the problem. I've exhausted all known avenues, including digging into the XML code. Nothing seems out of the ordinary.

Snippets and ordered lists (OL)
I have snippet content that I want to present in the following two ways:
As part of a list of steps in one task/topic
4. text
a. text
b. text
c. text
For the other file, step 4.a. above would be step 1. I want it to do this:
1. text
2. text
3. text
Is there a way to tell the snippet to start ...

Re: TOC breaks after title
Yes, I figured that's what she's wanting, but it's not in this css. :)
The bit Nita's interested in is this:
MadCap|tocProxy
{
border-top-style: none;
border-top-width: 0px;
border-top-color: #ffffff;
mc-auto-number-position: none;
margin-top: 10px;
}

Re: TOC breaks after title
In the code, I set the Div from inside to auto, and that seemed to fix it. When I looked at the Div in the Style Editor, it said Auto. Swear it.

Okay, I thought you'd meant something different than opening the file with Notepad++. I've played with several settings the past few days.

Re: TOC breaks after title
The tocproxy was the very first place I looked. I checked and rechecked the settings there. I even looked at the code. I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. However, here's the code. Maybe there is something there that you can see.

Re: TOC breaks after title
Yes, the TOC is more than 1 page in length in the output. No, it's not in the Div style. :( I even looked at the Generic Pseudo Classes before, after, and inside. Changed the Avoid to Auto. The content still breaks after the toc title. The frustrating thing is that I told the CSS exactly how to ...

Re: Import (merge) Flare projects
We did it a small test to import a few topic files from the broken working copy to the new working copy, and it seems to go off without a hitch. We were able to get the new content added/committed to SVN. We're going to finish the task in small batches in case we encounter any problems.

That is correct, and we are not using the Source Control feature in Flare.RamonS wrote:Flare itself does not provide source control, it can only act as a client to source control systems such as Subversion.grendel wrote:We are not using the Source Control provided with Flare.

Good idea. No, we are not, unless you count SubVersion (Yes, they let me play with technology.dorcutt wrote:Just to get a headstart for the more knowledgeable people, are you using any source control tools? That will probably be relevant.

Import (merge) Flare projects
One of our writers was working in a local copy that was originally connected to the main project in SVN. At some point (around the time we upgraded from V9 to V10), the URL for this working copy was broken, and the writer did not realize it. Thus, the writer continued to develop new content and ...

Re: Generate Report for each TOC
I didn't think so after I'd tried a few different combinations. I feel that this needs to be a feature request. It would be nice if I could run reports that list the Target, associated TOC, topics files included and the paths to these topics. I'm getting ready to completely overhaul how we manage ...

Generate Report for each TOC
I'd like to generate reports for each TOC in a project. On this report, I want to see the topic files and paths, plus any snippet file names and paths. Thanks! What is completely mindboggling is that the footer content stops showing up mid-topic in some cases. It makes NO sense whatsoever.

A quick update:
We have several issues going on; however, I believe the main source of our problem is page breaks in <h1> and the tables. I removed style=page-break-before: always;" variables from the <h1> tag, and this fixed it until the topic hit a table, which does not want to break correctly ...
