Hi Carl,
If the picture so large that the button moves outside the screen, then why not use Capture Window or Capture Full Screen instead of Region?
I'm not sure about Carl, but I found that I can't capture a region at the very bottom or very right-hand side of the screen. If I'm close to the ...

Re: Capture button is off the screen--how do I access it?
As far as I know this is an issue common to many.. but as for a solution, I don't have one sorry. I'm in the same boat. I would submit a bug report/feature request. Alternatively, contact tech support and ask them if they know how to resolve it.

Re: Remove watermark from trial version (Capture v6)
I just happen to have read about this this morning as I was looking for something else.
To get rid of the watermark, you want to remove the profile from all the images (i assume the profile contains the watermark).
To do this, follow this procedure: http://webhelp.madcapsoftware.com/capture6 ...

How to change image sizing? Which of the 3 settings?
Hi,
I have been using Flare for around 6 months and have got things happening over there (exciting!).. Capture, however, is baffling me... I'll kind-of throw my questions out there in the hope that you can make sense of my situation (sorry for so many questions!).

Re: Search on condition tag?
I'd still say it's easier if you use the 'find in files' option; searching for the condition name will show you a list of all the files, and you can also open them directly to see the condition.
That's true. It's quite a simple way to identify all the topics associated with a single condition ...

Re: Search on condition tag?
Or you can create a Report that lists all condition tags, the topics they are used in, and the HTML tags they are applied to.
Genius! I deliberately added a "not finished" tag to any section i still needed to fix but then had no way to identify what all the pages were.. using the report ...

Re: TOC Depth and mc-heading-level question
I also do the same as Dave Lee and have the Headings follow the TOC structure.
I don't have any mc-heading-levels set either. I tried this and just go so confused! All I wanted it to do was resemble the TOC structure.. I ended up getting it to work without it.

Re: Active links only when topic is included in TOC?
Thanks Steve -- I've ended up using a condition and applying the 'exclude' and 'unbind' technique.
Thinking about submitting a feature request though so that when a link is broken, the link is removed from the output. Otherwise you could accidentally send a customer a broken link.

Active links only when topic is included in TOC?
Hi,
I have many pdf manuals which contain the same set of topics.
Each topic contains links to other topics (whether or not the topics are included in the TOC).
However, I don't want these links to be active for one of the TOCS because I'm not including the additional topic(s).

Re: Size of an image popup
If I'm understanding correctly, the image popup produced (as in, after hovering over the image) is what you want to change the size of?
The image popup shows the image at its full size so if you wanted to change the size of the image popup, you'd need to change the maximum size of the image.

Yes, I experience the same thing when I do a remote desktop; I lose the top ribbons. It does create an error message that I can't seem to get to appear at the moment because Flare just goes belly-up and crashes.
Will post it when I get it again.

I would say it sounds like you're on the right track - I have no doubt that I would hold down the shift key while pressing space and I did rename them in a hurry so it's even more likely.
Sounds like it's caused quite a few issues for you! How would you suggest getting rid of them please?

Re: TOCs Folder Sort Method
Do these files sort alphabetically in Windows Explorer? If not, then I guess you have managed to include some non-breaking spaces in the file names which is breaking the sort order. Since Flare 9, you are able to do this, quite easily, by mistake. :-(

Hi,
This is more an 'annoyance' (except it's not that annoying really) than a real problem but thought I'd ask anyway.. there may be something I don't know about!

ah! problem solved. I had the page width settings applied in the 'body' (which was set for portrait width) so the table was obeying 100% of the width.. just a shame the width wasn't right! As normal, user error is my Flare problem.. :)

Re: Single-sourcing for different page layout configurations?
Yep, will do the feature request!
Also, you can make a block of cells a snippet but when you insert this into a table it inserts it as a block rather than as separate rows (at least, that's what it seemed to do for me).
Still not ideal either way.
Thanks for your response!
Avril

In Version 9 this doesn't appear either. You can still right-click on the table block and create a snippet, but you can't use the toolbar icon.

I also have this problem. I am trying to take one column and then paste it into another table using a snippet. It inserts the snippet happily enough but it inserts it as a block rather than individual table rows. This means I can't differentiate rows in the pasted table; a real problem!
