Hi Kath,
I'm not sure if you're still experiencing this problem but, if you are, would you mind giving some examples for me please?
I'm not quite clear on what you're asking with different models and such.
Our company has multiple products with lots of variations between them all so I wonder if I ...

Hyperlinks in print targets -- how to add a page number?
Hi,
I have a query for what to do with hyperlinks in print format (PDF, more specifically).

Re: HTML5 output: startup topic not opened in contents
Thanks for the help - I just went looking for how to do this and came across this post.
Just got mine working (very exciting!). I didn't have any problems getting the folder to open when you first open the webhelp though..
Are there any particular circumstances you have set up?

Re: Indexing multiple manuals (Flare TOCS)
Brilliant answers - thank you.
I like that this is so very straightforward. I do have a few conditions in my topic because I have snippet conditions and I only want it indexing those particular conditions in a snippet. I'm assuming that would work even though I haven't tried it yet!

Indexing multiple manuals (Flare TOCS)
Hi,
I've been creating an index for one of my manuals at the moment (i.e., for one TOC) but I'm not clear on how I'm supposed to index multiple manuals in one project (i.e., lots of different TOCs).
For example, you use one index pane and that contains all the entries. Does Flare only take the ...

Thanks Dave.
Unfortunately Flare doesn't seem to see each item as consecutive but rather, just a bunch of items. I haven't yet been able to get it to autonumber.
Will keep trying though!

I have a query about using the SeeLink Xref.

haha, thanks.
I do use the internal editor inside Flare -- does Notepad++ trump this? If so, why's that?
I'm new to css coding (have been trying to learn it to use Flare better) so it's all much of a muchness to me at the moment..

Thanks for your comment Amber!

The fight against table widths!
Hi,
I have to use many tables for my manuals but they vary in width depending on what I'm trying to show with them. I.e., some have a picture that needs to display next to the table so it's smaller etc.
The problem is that I clearly haven't got a grasp on table widths.. When I generate my table ...

Hi Barb,
I don't really know why that's happening but..
I made a change in Flare as author, sent it to reviewer and I could still see the changes.
So I would say that it does work and there's another issue causing your problem. Sorry I can't help more with what it is!

Re: The six letter word I hate in Flare - Tables
A note about table stylesheets: If you make edits to column widths after inserting the table to a topic, the column widths do not change (at least in Flare V8 it doesn't). You have to go into the Text Editor and delete the previous column widths from the source code (in this example, "style=width ...

You can do this with snippet conditions. Create a snippet with a conditions for your various requirements, place it in a topic, then set the snippet condition you want on the topic. (Topic Properties, Snippet Conditions tab).

Re: Text rectangle border
Thanks Nita.
I think it was still showing when I put the image into Flare but unfortunately I now can't get it to replicate the issue. Very odd seeing as I've had it occur several times over the course of a month.
If it happens again I will try as you said
Thanks,
Avril

I am also having the same problem; I cannot get my dropdown head (or hotspot) to work with autonumbering.

Hi,
I am just starting to learn how to get tablestyles working, but I'm having a slight issue with header rows.
I have a 2 col x 3 rows table, with the top row being a header.
However, my header won't 'join' the two cells together but instead leaves a space between the cells.
