I need to turn 107 tiny paragraphs (longest is 27 characters) into one column of a table, and another 107 tiny paragraphs into a second column of the same table.
If it matters, they were error codes and matching error names snatched from a header file. I grabbed them as columns, using Notepad ...

Ah.
I knew there was a reason I preferred the Menu bar...
In Content Explorer, I always have "Show Files" set.... so, two columns. And then I stretch the Flare VM window between two screens, with the split between the Content file tree on the left screen, and the file list on the right.

DUH!
Never mind.
I did this years ago, and forgot.
Just create a blank snippet and THEN put the table in.

Sorry to bother everyone.

Can I single-source a table?
We have a table of contact info for our support offices, worldwide. We want it in all our customer-facing docs, identically, and updated across the board when we have reason to add an office, remove an office, change a phone number, etc.

Hmm. When you said ",,, for the PDF target, be sure not to use TOC depth ..." was that meant specifically in my situation, or is that for ToCs going to PDF in general?

Flat versus hierarchical ToC in a Command Reference
If a command-line tool has command sets that are nested two-and-three levels deep (a hierarchy), should a Command Reference Guide's table of contents mimic that hierarchy, or should the ToC be flattened to a single layer alphabetical list, with no signposts? I'm being told that "flat like a ...

I'll do the text-editor thing. It'll be the most straightforward way to get to the next problem.

Yeah... it doesn't help with between-version compatibility... at least not directly. Just sayin' there are reasons, in general, to keep moving forward with the product versions, that don't necessarily have to do with newer, fancier features.

One topic, two ToC entries
I've been avoiding ever making two ToC entries that point to the same topic file within a project, because somebody told me, years ago, that this defeats a navigation feature in Flare. Does anyone remember what that was, and why? And is it still true?

When Flare introduced "View Links", I thought that links were simply part of topic files, and that "View Links" would simply run through the project and find any topics or graphics or other items that named the selected page in a link.
